Well, I'm in high school, and as many of you know, you have to take a foreign language. I am taking Spanish, and have two years of it.(one more to go for me, in my plan.) I really enjoy knowing another language, even if its just a little. I had about 4 or 5 Spanish teachers in 2 years, so I may not be far in learning the language. I don't do well speaking it or listening to it. But I can write and read it ok. I like reading the titles of the Spanish shows and being able to know whats on. I also get to hear what some boxers say before the translator speaks. (only bits and pieces though.) Well anyway, my question is how many languages do you know? BTW, don't say American, Australian, or something like that, please.
Okay Cola. 2, English & Japanese (though I'm seriously loosing my touch...or should I say, tongue. I would really like to add Spanish...someday. RR
English, French, Spanish, a little Italian, a little Tagalog, very little Latin, and am picking up German.
I'm finishing my 4th semester Spanish class in college, and I'm supposedly fluent but I don't feel like it.
Fluently-One(English) Not so fluently-Two(Spanish and Telegu) I can understand both Telegu and Spanish very well, but can't speak either very well.
4 English French Urdu Arabic With the last two ones, I'm thinking maybe I'll apply to the CIA or FBI ...
English and a good bit of French; I can read and understand it a lot better than I can speak it, that's for sure.
My English is fantastic. I need to regain my Spanish and Italian, I've slipped a bit. My (Brazilian) Portuguese is good.
English, Took 3 years of Spanish of high school (forgot 80% of it)....and i understand like 60% of hindi...i just respond in english to my parents...lol dammit! I would kill to be fluent in French and German! Somebody tell me the secret to ur success! Anything except living in the country...cuz I can't afford it...
Boa tarde The wife and I just got back from a good friend's wedding in Sao Paulo and were able to pick up bits and pieces. We both took some Spanish in high school and there are many similarities, however the pronunciation of d's there really threw us for a loop. I'd be curious/interested to know if you're of Brasilian descent (the Administalker!). Being there made me want to learn it even though I may never go back. That said, without derailing this thread, I obviously speak English. I speak a bit of Spanish though I am not fluent whatsoever, and I can do some basic communication in Portuguese, the Brasilian flavor.
English, French Creole, and used to be pretty fluent in Spanish, but I haven't used it at all so I've lost a lot of it.
