This probably has been mentioned somewhere, but Cato obviously has below-average hands....compounded on that is an apparent wrist injury....(Rudy spoke of this on his 950 a.m. show yesterday) Now, a way that Francis or Mobley can be effective in driving is to obviously look to get the easy score inside...A good defensive center (such as Mutombo) makes it challenging...Often a center or power forward is left open for the dish-off...gotta execute, and if you don't have handles, how can you even compete? Now that Shaq has emerged to be a better defensive force, what should our inside attack plan be, considering everything?
Did you ever see Burt Reynolds in "The Longest Yard?" I say we take Langhi off of IR right now and have him run right down the lane for a Tomahawk slam. When Shaq jumps to smother him, have boney kick him really hard in the balls "accidentally." If they don't take out Shaq, do it again. Shaq will not be able to resist trying to jump and block Langhi back to suckling his mother's breast. It is the perfect sucker play. I call this play the Hack-a-Sack.
Shaq and Kobe score about 60 points a game. Let 'em. We need to shut down the supporting cast and score about 90-95 points and we'll be in the game at the end with a chance to win. This team is not scoring like it should. Maybe the second half of the San Antonio game will spur the Rockets on...
He is listed as questionable for the game, because of pains in what was described by Cato as ' an injured heart.'
the only problem is that kobe and shaq score 60 when the defense is paying attention to them. If you play strict man to man to take the supporters out of their game, Kobe and Shaq will go for 70+. I still think that the Rockets win... but it will be from pure **** kicking mullet performances from Kelly Cato, KT and Glen Rice... and of course Steve The Dream Francis.
