A lot has been made of the fact that Yao Ming has played a complete CBA season, summer full of Chinese national team tournaments, and has not had any time to rest before the fast approaching NBA season. I personally made a point that a risk in drafting Yao was the fact that his stamina would be low for the season and would directly effect his performance and number of games played. Whether or not Yao is capable of contributing immediately will not even be important if he is not physically able to perform. This is a crucial year for the Rockets organization and the threat of getting little or nothing out of the blessing of a number one pick would be disastrous. The Rockets' success or failure will be largely influenced by Ming's success, and Ming's success will be directly influenced by how much he can play. So to that, how many games will Yao Ming play in this year?
I'll go out on a limb and predict that he'll play in as many games as he's healthy enough to play in. Just a hunch though!
Yeah, because I'd be oh so pissed if Yao played every game and helped us get to the playoffs. Some people are more ignorant than I can give credit for. Anyhow, I can GUARANTEE than Yao will not play 82 games. If he reaches 70, I would be quite surprised, and the Rockets probably would be too.
How would you explain it on your "Yao Ming Sucks" website? How would you reconcile it with your contention that one is either a Rocket fan OR a Yao Ming fan? When was the last time you started a thread whose purpose wasn't some kind of dig at Yao?
Yeah you would be pissed. So why don't you go whine about Ming on another message board and make your guarantees there. Besides, aren't you the same one that wanted to allegedly see Ming succeed SO much that you ripped him from day one, started a web page saying he sucks, and then in a thread yesterday that Jeff started about him practicing came in with the always informative and classy <i>Dude's translator is a douche. </i>? You don't like Ming and every post you do is somehow ripping him, even this one. A post made to ask how many games he will play in? Whatever.

This is not a crucial year for the Rockets...Were a young up and coming team that everyone in the league knows is getting better. This is a play-off team with out Yao Ming. Steve seems to be the player we cannot replace...This is a very good team now, when players like Griffin and Yao ming reach their potential it may be a GREAT TEAM.
