Who's their coach? For a roaster like this, coaching is everything.

Wow that is ugly. We're talking "single digit wins" talent here. I can't even pick out any guys that can put the ball in the basket. I guess Eddie House would be the closest to being a starting caliber scorer. And if the Clippers didn't do their annual boneheaded move, and sent them Ely and House, then it would be even worse.

We are starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel in FA too. Are there any decent PG's left on the market?

as bad as they are, that 9 win season of the '73 76ers is hard to catch. it seems in sports, no matter how bad you look or for how long you look bad, you end up picking up a win here and there because teams just don't give a crap about playing you and let down against you and then inevitably the team will win 2 in a row or 3 out of 4 to keep themselves from whatever futility record they are chasing. i mean vancouver's first team couldn't have been much better than this and even though they started off 2-0, they lost i believe 23 in a row after that. at that point people had to be thinking they're heading for the record but they missed it with games to spare. so i'll say they win 13. please just don't let one be against us.

would Charlotte be willing to trade us Drobnjak for Gaines + a pick?
He'd make a pretty good back up for Yao.

    Possible Starting Lineup

    PG - Jason Hart
    SG - Tamar Slay
    SF - Gerald Wallace
    PF - Melvin Ely
    C - Emeka Okafor

They may beat the Hawks once or twice, as unbalanced as their roster is looking... I just can't see a team that looks like that winning any games. It'd be a great college team, though.

    12-70 sounds about right

Does anything else thinks if Jerry Sloan is coaching them, they'd be competing for a playoff spot?

Honestly though. Who is going to score for this team? They look absolutely dreadful.

i say about 10 to 15 wins.. not sure exactly how, but if they at least play hard every night they will catch enough teams off guard plus are mostly a bunch of guys trying to prove themselves

still can't believe some of the players they didn't pick

but realistically in a couple of years, with some high picks and then access to the full salary cap their roster will look completely different

I'd say they go 11-71...but one of my sleeper picks for fantasy BBALL is Gerald Wallace. I've watched him in several Sac games and in the summer leagues here in LA and this guy is an athletic freak, and I think just needed some real playing time. He'll get the ball and major PT in Charlotte.

Two years ago Antonio McDyess said that the '02-03 Nuggets (a team arguably as bad as the expansion Bobcats playing in a much stronger conference) would break the Sixers' record. And they won a surprising 17 games, which put their franchise-worst '97-98 season to shame.

I wish it would, but it's not gonna happen. Bobcats win 14-20 games.

    Bernie "I Am Lucifier" Bickerstaff.

You guys talk about hating CD. Trust me, you don't know hate. Bickerstaff is the WORST GM/Coach in the history of basketball. He drove the '94 Nuggets (considered an "up and coming team" after knocking off the #8 Sonics and the next round taking the Jazz to 7) into the ground. When I had the Nuggets website, I had a few ads that were fake headlines. Stuff like "Alex English returns from retirement!", etc.. The one that got the most visitors, and the most positive comments, was the one that read, "Bickerstaff Admits He's Satan".

And the final knockout blow, THE MAN WAS THE GM OF THE GLOBETROTTERS WHEN THEY LOST THE ONE GAME IN FRANCHISE HISTORY! Charlotte is screwed until he's gone.

They were actually sitting pretty in the worst division in the NBA until Miami and Orlando made their moves. I peg them at 15 wins.
