He is not the same guy under the new rules.

Can you make a statement on trading him away now?

Do you need more games to figure that out and make your decision?

... or you just staying pat, trusting in him and seeing him as a keeper?

What do you mean trade him? Who realistically wants him? Who would give him anything worthwhile for Martin? We already decided to "trade" him, but Stern turned it back.

Not a huge fan of players that rely on refs to score. It won't work in the 4th quarter, or in big games. I support him because he's a Rocket, but I wouldn't miss him if he was gone.

He's gonna get traded. It's just a matter of when Morey can maximize value for him. I have to think Bima is probably right. The best deal will probably come on draft night.

So you trade him while his stock is at an all time low?

This. He's already been traded once from here. Just a matter of doing it a game. It was 10 games ago we realized he should've been traded.

He is not fool's gold. He is not gold of any kind. He is just a borderline allstar that can't be effective any longer.

Yeah his stock couldn't be lower. They should have traded him before the season, especially after that whole Gasol trade thing. Now they pretty have to keep him until his stock rises.

Good job, Morey. Blew another opportunity.

Oh yeah ... that ever elusive draft night blockbuster trade. I wouldn't get my hopes up for that.

Well, it could happen at the trade deadline if the right deal materializes.

I was looking at Granger the other night. He was actually sucking just as bad. Now, it looks like he's gonna snap out of his funk. But a Martin for Granger would be nice, especially if Granger gets going and Orlando wants him as part of a deal for Dwight.

Some idiot who was forced to eat crow after he had a career best/all-nba caliber season, while, conversely, his chosen franchise players took the express train to bustville, was shipped off for parts at midseason, and is now playing in repurposed airplane hangers in guangzhou.

I think at this point the Rockets team would be better without him, even if they got nothing for him. A combination of Lee, Dragic, Chase and Williams can more than compensate for leasing what Martin has become.

That said, I think Houston could at least get some positives out of a Martin trade -- say a better cap situation going into this offseason and a lottery protected 1st round pick. I am pretty sure they could get at least that for him from the TWolves or the Raptors.

I'd be happy getting 2 apple jolly ranchers, a cherry candy cane, and a mystery bag for Martin. Seriously, there could be anything in that mystery bag!
