I know we get Toronto's first rounder this year in addition to ours...

So we have 2 first round picks this year? If toronto goes lottery, we get that pick too?

If Toronto is in the lottery, they keep their pick.

That's why Toronto's pissing me off right now, they're messing up. They can be as mediocre and under-achieving as they want, but make the playoffs DAMMIT! :D

I want the Rocks to have a high lotto pick and the #14 pick as well.

Blame Rudy for that one. If he hadn't motivated his players, they'd have just rolled over for Toronto and helped them get back into contention.

This messes up both picks. If Rockets didn't have so many injuries, Rudy's mistakes would have cost the rockets both picks.

    Damn you Rudy.

Now we can start rooting for Toronto. Last night was bitter sweet. We should also start resting our 2 main guards and play the young ones. And if we lose some, you won't find me here b****ing. I promise.

Don't the Rockets only get their pick if its below 8?
I thought we had to deal it to Vancouver if it was above 8.

The restrictions on the Vacouver pick are apparently somewhat fuzzy, but from what I gather-

we have until next year to fufill it
this year it has some protection on it (top 13???)

JuanValdez would know better than I.

We have the option to pay that pick this year or leave it to next year. I think we can assume we'll opt to pay next year.

    JV,
I know this has been rehashed over and over, but any idea what the restrictions will be if we don't pay Memphis until next year? Is it still Top 15? Must be our pick? What?
