Not dealing with specific races. You can choose more than one. I am interested whether people spread their votes around or went straight party ticket. If I missed any groups I apologize.
If Judges' Doug and Judy Warne weren't running [unopposed], my ballot would have been exclusively Democrat. They both were on hand to teach my Family Law class this semester and I respect them very much. Even if a dem was runnign against them they would have had my vote.
All Dem, even if they are a complete whacko. Until the GOP cleans out the lunatics running the asylum, I'm not voting for any GOP candidate.
Please excuse me for misspelling Independent. As a corellary, I would be interested to how many people cast votes in the elections with only one candidate. I just passed them by. It seemed too much like something you would have seen in the Soviet Union.
i did in election for judges i knew and liked. particularly for judge taft with the 1st court of appeals, who i clerked for.
I voted for mostly members of the MN Independence Party but also for a few Democrats and Republicans in local races.
I put 3 including independent. I am guessing that meant outside of the two major parites, and not just the independt party.
2004 Kerry was the first Dem Presidential candidate I have voted for 2006 first time ever to punch a straight ticket on the ballot Thanks to W!!!
I voted for Repubs Keaton-Strayhorn, Land Commissioner Patterson, Rep. Kevin Brady, and State Rep. Tuffy Hamilton. For Dems AG Van Os and County Judge Thibodeaux. For Independent Kinky Friedman. All other races, Libertarian if available, no vote if not.
I voted straight ticket. However, if I could have had 2 votes for govenor I would of voted for Werner.
I think I may have voted wrong on the poll. I did vote for Susan Coombs, who I respect a great deal. (my wife knows her) But I forgot that I voted Libertarian for all the State Supreme Court seats that didn't have a freakin' Democrat on the ballot. For shame! Hell, I would have voted for a yellow dog. SOMEBODY should have filed, dammit! Keep D&D Civil.
same here...i had to take a shower when i got home too (unclean, unclean!). this year i voted democrat, libertarian and independent. did not vote for any republicans and i dont think i ever will again as long as i live. i live in travis county where the libertarians can actually garner more than 2% of the popular vote so in local elections and judgeships i voted libertarian. if there was no libertarian candidate i voted democrat. we had 7 ballot measures here dealing with road, park and creek improvements which i supported and than a 90 million dollar central library which i was against, housing assistance program for low-income families which i supported, funds for cultural arts center which i supported and funding for ems and public saftey which i also supported. all 7 measures soundly passed, the closest being the cultural arts one w/ 58% yes and 42% no.
