In the past 6 years, I have estimated that I have spent 30 days on Clutchfans, an average of 5 days per year. With around 4200 posts taking approximately 2 minutes each (a very conservative estimation), I have estimated to have spent 8400 minutes writing. Multiply that by 5 (since I spend at least 5 times as much time reading as I do writing on here) and I have spent 42000 minutes over the past 6 years. 42000 divided by 60 = 700 hours 700 hours divided by 24 = 29.17 days. Crazy...
The better question would be, "Since discovering CF.net, how many days have you not spent on the site?"
True dat! ClutchFans is like me coffee. It's the first site I check every morning to kick start my day and if something is wrong with the site or I don't have Internet access, I'm not the same person.
I would estimate my reading time to actual time spent posting as about 15 - 1. so by your formula. 13,600 x 2 x 15 = 408,000 / 60 (24) = approx 283 days. whoa.
If it takes me 10 minutes avg to type and read, I have spent 69.4 days of my life on here. A lowball estimate...
I need to find my post count first - then I'll tell you based on your formula. Edit: Assuming I've got a 10:1 reading: posting ratio (which I'm pretty sure is a low figure): (3260*10*2)/(60*24) = roughly 45 1/4 days. Not bad!

Edit: okay mine was 4024 I would say I am about 10-1 on the reading to posting. so 4024 * 2 = 8048 * 10 = 80480 / 60min = 1341.33/24 = 55.89 days in the last two years... I need a life! Edit 2: after CCR's adjustment... 4024 * 2 = 8048 4024 * 20 = 80480 8048 + 80480 = 88528 88258 minutes/ 60 = 1475.47 1475.47 hours / 24 = 61.48 61.48 days... oh!! That is much better!
92.8 total days going by this formula, which is what I think the OP actually meant to use... 6,072 posts * 2 minutes = 12,144 minutes posting 6,072 posts * 10 minutes (5:1 ratio) = 60,072 minutes reading 12,144 + 60,072 = 72,216 minutes posting/reading That's... 14.7 days per year. 1.2 days per month. 1.0 hour per day. Seems a little low. It looks like some of you are doing the math wrong. You should add minutes posting to minutes reading, separately. For example, moes should be... 13,600 x 2 = 27,200 posting 13,600 x 30 (15:1 ratio) = 408,000 reading 27,200 posting + 408,000 reading = 435,200 So it's actually 302 days (435,200 / (60 * 24)) instead of 283.
See, at my work, this site is censored. Which pisses me off. Because when I'm here (from home), it makes me realize how much more fun work would be if I could... y' know?
