Currently I have had a Chase account for 2 years now and I just opened a Bank of America one 2 months ago because all the ATMs around UT are Bank of America for some reason.

I just saw an advertisement by chase saying that if someone opens up a new checking account with them I get 100 dollars. I was wondering is having too many (3) accounts bad? Oh and do you think there would be a problem getting the 100 bucks if I already have a Chase account?

    heres the link:

As long as you can keep track of all your money and avoid overages, then there's really no problem having multiple accounts.

I have 4 different Checking Accounts with B of A. I like B of A because they really are everywhere here in Los Angeles (although US Bank is making big moves here too.) I use each account for separate types of purchases which works great for me because I have individual debit cards for each. One account is where my direct deposit comes in from my job and I divvy out what I need towards the specific accounts I use for my car (insurance, gas, car note), bills, and personal spending.

It can actually a good way to control your spending when done correctly.
