We are getting broad ranges of reactions to the Utah loss.
It's one of the bigger rivalries for the Rockets.

For some of us who've seen this matchup, its the same show, new characters.
But we've beaten them before when it counts.

However, don't ever expect anything but a close series vs Utah.

You've forgot to mention it's the same storyline too. The Jazz have been flopping ever since Sloan took control of that evil team.

I still want to grab Stocktons shorts and pull them over his head after that 3 that raped us. My hatred for the Jazz has no bounds. That team is my most hated team in professional sports. I absolutely can't stand that team, that coach, or those fans. Classless system.

I didn't watch the Rockets games on a daily basis until Yao's rookie year, so I've been watching since the days of JVG.

I guess we could, but I don't remember the rivalry being so heated back then.

No shot clock not starting issues in Salt Lake City.

No Stockton 3 pointers in Houston.

No Rockets crying at press conferences

In 1997 series, I remember Hakeem talking about how the Jazz, "likes everyone to think they are choirboys," are something to that effect, but in reality they were a dirty team. I think that was the series where Stockton came across the lane and elbowed Hakeem in the ribs, and Hakeem promptly laid him out with an elbow to his face. Truly, it was a beautiful thing. Hakeem got called for the foul, but he didn't get elbowed anymore. Keep in mind this was years after Hakeem had turned into a gentle giant.

Forgot about Yao learning Hakeem's footwork or aresenal of offensive moves, I just wish he'd start doing that every so often.

I've been watching since Akeem (know back then as) had problems with Mark Eaton, and Frank Layden was still the Jazz coach.

Started watching the team in 86. Have been hating the Jazz since the early 90's...it's amazing...they are the exact same team as before and play the same (dirty) way they always have.

I never get as angry as I do during the Jazz games...it's infuriating.

Mark Eaton always reminded me of the Brawny man and that bad guy from Superman 2.

Layden always struck me as cartoon character

Malone for me. But Boozer is rising quickly due to the fact that he has Malone-esque games against us every time we play them.

Still hate Stockton more than Deron, though Deron's arrogance is starting to really piss me off

C'mon that's not even a contest. Malone is way, way worse. Boozer stabs teams in the back, Malone stabbed other players in the groin with his knees/feet/hands, etc. Plus, Malone is a deadbeat dad.

Malone, easy. Boozer is hated just because he plays for the Jazz. Malone is hated for that as well, but also because he was extremely dirty. Boozer doesn't strike me as being a cheap shot artist like Malone was.
