Alright, please don't make this into a political thread that gets kicked to D&D.
This journalist bets he can withstand 15 seconds of it. I just thought it was pretty interesting. Most of probably think we can do it too.

That's crazy. I figured 15 seconds would be difficult, but possible. It seems like anything more than 7 or 8 is really pushing the envelope.

I bet that somebody who's experienced at surfing could handle that.

Surfers have spent so much time underwater, upside down, tumbling around and with water up their nose, it's probably nothing to them.

Of course, there aren't many surfers in the middle east.

I thought you had to be angled downward so that the water went directly into your nose?

Looks like he was angled slightly down, but not much. Guess they knew it wouldn't take full bore to break him.

what if you had a ton of boogers or snot in your nose and it clogged and prevented the water from entering?

I've done this on accident in a way. I was showing and threw my hot rag on my face, I don't know why I looked up, maybe to relax a little, but it was pretty much that video for what happened to me. Between the hot water hitting the rag so it closes off around your nose and mouth and not being able to see, it's pretty claustrophobic. I was messing around with it after that, and I could only last like 2 seconds.

Man now I feel like trying this at home. It looks like a fun challenge. They really should have put a disclaimer on that video!

I think you can do it if you go in with a mindset to hold your breath and breath out for slowly for 10 seconds.. just shut off everything around you and focus on nothing.
