As you guys may already have seen on ESPN, Artest regretted his decision to not opt out.

So now obvious Kings GM won't bother keeping Artest now that he knows his player can't wait to get out of Sac-town...and I'm sure he'll be shopping Ron around..actually teams will be calling him.

So what do you guys think our chances of getting Ron is? I reckon its great that he didn't opt out and now we can trade for him. We were almost going to get him before the trade deadline. I reckon if we were only to trade for one player, that player's gotta be Ron.

Get it done Morey, get Ron !!!

We have nothing to offer in a trade except cap relief. If the Kings wanted cap relief, they could just let him walk for nothing next summer.

I think this board really blows the alleged interest in Brooks out of proportion. All we have to offer in a trade are Scola and Battier, and we won't be offering them, and rightfully so.

I see Artest landing in Dallas.

If it takes Battier to land Artest, I'm perfectly fine with that. While it's risky to invest so much in such a volatile player, I don't think the Rockets can take the next step without some serious upgrades.

I am pretty sure he will stay in Sacramento, but even if he goes he won't end up in Houston. I would like that to happen, though.

Why didn't you put an "other" option on the poll?

He will stay in Sacramento for at least this summer, which is what you asked. He may very well end up somewhere else at the trade deadline though.

Also, you talk as if Artest says he doesn't want to be in Sacramento, and there's no way the Kings can keep him now, but that's not the case. He simply wanted to get a better contract and explore his value. He likes the Kings and the Kings like him. To move him would just be a bussiness decision if they aren't going to be in the playoffs and his contract expires at the end of the season. That way he isn't just walking out the door, they at least get something out of it.

Artest will be on the Kings at the beginning of the season.

The Maloof will not trade this guy with the Lakers. Are they insane! Because they know that they will not have the shot for finals. I'll say that he will be going back to the east, possibly Indiana or Miami!

I would rather trade Shane for Mo than for Artest, in fact , bjax may be prefered by the bucks ,now that they already have Redd,Jefferson at 2 and 3 ,they don't need SB any more, do you wish SB a backup if Ron would join houston?we should trade bjax for mo ,add LH as a package if they want that fool .Then we will have a great bench roster, a sixth roster like manu.We will be gonna gain our third championship with mo in our team ,we will also gain four championships in the following nine years as the spurs did .

as always, everything depends on whether the current owner is willing to pay any luxury tax or not......so far, he's yet to have paid even a dime of luxury tax in any season since he's been here.

I don't think the Maloofs will want to help Adelman out all that much, and believe the Lakers and possibly trading Odom are in a better position than we are...

10% chance we get him. Also, I'll say 2 of our rotation players were on other NBA teams last year.
