I am assuming that Juwan will be Rocket for the whole year. Because.. Who wants him or Mo Taylor?

So as a Juwan critic, but Rockets fan first:

    Here is my observation

    When Juwan is good:
    1. He's hitting that shot from the top of the key
    2. He's putting back missed shots from others

    When Juwan is bad:
    1. He trys some ugly post up moves. Which looks like Clutch the Bear trying the DreamShake.

    2. He doesnt pass to the open teammate.

If he sticks to his good points and stops trying to post up (give it up Juwan, you aren't Barkley). Maybe he should also take one step close from the top of the key... He'll do fine on the offensive side.

    On Defense:
I've noticed that Juwan is bad on rotation. Hence Yao gets dunked on.
I believe he can rebound, so he needs to concentrate more on rebounding in the paint.
I dont like it when Juwan double teams someone.

Howard has been playing alot better recently. Hopefully he can keep on hitting that open jumper that teams will give him. We need his offense right now with no bench to speak of so if his play goes down so will the Rockets.

I wonder why he's hitting that shot now? Did someone yell to him to stop short arming his shots? Could be the fact that Calvin Murphy is a free man now. Hmmm

Juwan's most important role on this team is to hit that open 15 ft jumper on a consistent basis. We have Tmac drive to the hoop drawing the double teams or defence on him- while we put Wes and Sura on the 3 pt line and howard just outside the paint area. If these guys just hit their open shots then we're one step closer to a ring.

Yes, offensively, he's doing better. Defensively, he's still Juwan Coward.

that was my thought - with Howard responding well and getting 30+ minutes and Padge and Spoon there to give the opposing team different lokks (rebounder or a outside shooter) - Mo T is a liability

I would say just trade him for a bag of jelly beans if you have to

Where was the Mo Taylor that played so well against the Lakers last year?

At times he has some very solid post moves but they are pretty inconsistant. Lets hope he uses the time over the next few games with no real backup to establish himself.

It seems he only shows up in flashes. When his shot is on he is nearly unstopable and when its not he is useless.

he gets open alot right at, or behind the FT line. if he can hit that shot every time our offense will imporve greatly.

if he can't, bring in marshall! that guy can shoot!!.....and don't forget his rebounding and shot blocking.

I'm more concerned with his, for lack of a better word, "defense."
