Notice how whenever Scola or Landry were in, Lamarcus Aldridge was on fire, and when Hayes came in Aldridge was invisible?

IMO he should have played more in the first 3 quarters.

agreed. Scola and Landry were torched by Aldridge and Hayes was the only PF who stopped him. he even took a critical charge in the OT

hayes did a good job but there were a lot of mistakes too. i think landry did a good job when he came to replace hayes. landry should have been there more.

Landry did ok on Aldridge, but Chuck shut him down. He was killing us before Chuck came in. I don't think he scored more than three points the rest of the game.

He was the only one that was able to stop LaMarcus Aldridge. Aldridge was owning Landry and Scola on the offensive end, but Hayes was able to contain him with his exceptional defense.

Thankfully he is back to rookie status. I'm sure this can put a smile one all of our faces after an depressing loss. :D

    no. no. no.

if we win that game chuck hayes is the player of the game, with tmac a close 2nd. his d on aldridge singlehandedly prevented a 20+ blowout loss. no more open jumpers. no DOUBLE TEAM!

scola was roasted the entire time he was on the court and couldnt/didnt make up for it offensively. for all the crap reggie miller spewed about chuck on O, he never mentioned how lamarcus turned casper in the 2nd half. only one thing changed, and that was chuck hayes on D. offensively, we're lucky to have a player as talented as mcgrady to face doubles with chuck's man and still be able to execute. no apologies for that.

rewatch it and focus on chuck. he was freaking phenomenal tonight.

I've always wondered what that means. Do rookies have restricted privileges?

Hayes just needs to not shoot unless he has a wide open layup. Ever.

Hayes makes the guy he's guarding take one look at him and think they can post him up. Little do they know he is strong for his size. Aldridge would have been better served sticking with his perimeter jumper. Hope Hayes injury is not too serious.

Now What Do We Do If Chuck Is Out?

Yes, I said it... What do we do now if Chuck Hayes is out for sometime with some shoulder or arm injury when he went up to contest Aldrige shot late in tonight's game? He is our BEST post defender at the PF position period and losing him would be bad esp. with Battier out too. Will we probably see Dorsey play now if Chuck does miss some games? He's still unproven and we are no a bit thinner in the post if we lose Chuck Hayes. With that said, I say we should sign DEKE back already!!!
