I haven't made a Reuben sandwich in ages, so I figured I'd make one tomorrow night. The interesting thing is that all of the recipes have different main ingredients. Some call for Corned beef, and some call for Pastrami. Some call for Thousand Island dressing, and some call for Russian dressing. I will let the results of the poll dictate which way I go with it, and I will post pictures of the completed product as well as the consensus review. Let the battle begin!
I don't like Sauerkraut, so I know it goes in a Reuben. Rye Bread, good, Swiss cheese good, Corned Beef, good. Thousand Island, i could do with out, but i'd still take it.
^This! I love rubens...best reuben i ever had was in las vegas at the now closed motown cafe...man it was awesome...
And here's a pastrami one. My Dad just texted me with the thought about using Corned beef AND Pastrami. I may do that...
Well, that'll knock folks' appetites down a bit... I find it really interesting that nobody but myself has chosen Pastrami and Thousand island.
