How in the world do you get mame games to work?

    Alright, I just downloaded the mame emulator, and was hoping to download some games.

    Problem is, I can't find any games to download. Any advice?

    To get them to work, don't unzip them. Just place the zipped files into your ROM folder and you should be gould to go.

    Hope you enjoyed your life up until now. That damn thing is addictive. ;)

    Aw shucks, they took the roms down there... I have a significant collection though, and might have some you want....

    Newsgroups are probably the best place to find them now.

    What's the mame emulator? I have the old supernes emulater 9x, but I have never heard of mame.

    EDIT: Multiple arcade player? Ok, so does that mean all the old systems in one player? Or arcades?

    MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. It emulates hundreds of arcade games.

    EDIT (damnit ;) ): Nah, just arcade machines... and lots. :)

    So do you guys download the emulator from mame.net? the download files are kind of strange. i mean the way they are described and all.

    Well, I am downloading it right now. Hope to find some roms around the net.

    www.emuasylum.net has a really helpful forum, they'll be glad to answer your questions about all that kind of stuff. They also host a crapload of ROMS, so...get your game on, Fatty.

    all of the mame roms ARE on the mame.net website.

    you just need to be a registered usser.
