I'm not a Houston Rockets fan, but I watched the Pacers-Rockets game last night because I wanted to see how Yao Ming would perform in his first NBA regular season game.

Yao didn't play very well, but he just played less than 11 minutes. I'm sure he will learn and adapt himself to the NBA game and will perform better.

What I want to say here is Houston Rockets didn't play as a team. They played as five individuals. I was sick of watching Steve Francis taking so many shorts. He was too SELFISH. If Rockets keep playing like that, making the playoff will be just a dream.

Yao Ming will have a tough time for the season. First, he will have to adjust himself to the American life and NBA games. Second, he will be very frustrated very soon because the Rockets guards ME-FIRST players. He is a 7-5 center, and he has good passing and shooting skills, but he has to get the ball ...

    Good luck, Rockets!
    Good luck, Yao Ming!

Steve played shooting guard last night not point. He's suppose to shoot. Since you obviously don't follow the team much most of the starter were injured. Even Cato played with the flu.

Seems to me we didn't lose by much....and it's only one game.

Why jump all over someone who is making a very valid point?

Why actively drive people away from a site you obviously love so much?

    Thank you.

People here seem to be shocked when there are people who disagree with them, regarding the Rockets, Francis, etc.

If anyone has a problem with someone's OPINION, rather than jumping on that poster, why don't you just simply leave?

If you are aggrevated enough to hate posters who disagree with you, then I suggest you take up a new hobby.

I'm not Clutch, but I assume this BBS was intended to serve as an avenue of opinions regarding everything Rocket.

nobody jumped on him. njrocket only disagreed with the post. whatever anyone wants to think about francis, fine, but getting yao ming the ball was not an option last night. he is not ready to be a big time scorer and he doesn't know the offense well enough to run it through him.

Steve and Cat were the only people on the floor who could score period. We had no post presence with Cato having no offensive skills whatsover and with EG behind the threepoint line. Cat was playing sf for god sakes against a players like Artest and Mercer who are much bigger and stronger. Steve didn't like taking all those shots but he had to. It was the only thing keeping us in the game. If we had even one out of Mo, KT, or Glen Rice, I think we would have won the game. Each one of them can score on their own.
