I think the Rockets can be a 5 or 6 seed in the playoffs next year with a healthy Mo and Francis. Not making the playoffs next year would be a disaster. What do you guys think?
Rockets will be a top 5 seed next season Pieces are in place it is just a matter of tweeking and finding the right mold. It is close.
Ummm... I would dance a funky jig and swing from the raftors of the Delta Center (out of spite) if the Rockets got the 8th seed next year. But I don't really see any team on their way down except maybe the Jazz... do you? Of course, if Steve can actually play next season, and Eddie doesn't have the sophomore jinx, and Rice contributes at all, and Mo finds a way to get into the offense, and we manage to get someone decent in the draft, and if somehow we unload some of the mediocrity and come out with a more defined rotation.... Well then yes... we could do pretty well.
I dunno, at the beginning of the season we were in the top six or so, and the Clippers we're doing pretty good, too. The Sonics we're out of it and so were the 76'ers. Now the Clips are in 9th, the Sonics are in 7th, and the 76'ers are in the thick of it. Who knows what is going to happen next year?
It'd be great if we can just make the playoffs next season. What more can you expect after this? Still, go Rockets.
I think the Rox will be #1!!! I do think that they will make the playoffs, but probly not in the top 4...
I think have Mo Taylor back next year will have a huge positive impact. And EG will be more experienced and a bigger contributor. I think we definitely make the playoffs next year. I think 5th or 6th is possible. I don't put much weight on Rice contributing a lot next year though.
Too many ifs for this one. Will Steve, Rice and Taylor be healthy? What sort of off-season move(s) will we make (including: how do we sort out or glut at the 4)? Will the Clips stay together or will Sterling refuse to pay up, further destroying their morale and, therefore, eagerness to contribute/win? Will the Suns improve or continue to float just outside of radar? Will Payton get his extension? Will Rashard stay or leave? Spurs, Lakers, Kings, Mavs are locks to be better than the Rox. With luck, we could be #5. I'd settle for #8 if necessary. Too many ifs.
I agree, let's wait to see what happens in the offseason. Right now, I would bet they would be a little better then where they are now...and that is still in the lottery. DaDakota
