I used to be much more certain about everything I said. Now I'm only certain about a few things!

There's a lot of smart and sensitive (back off TraderJorge) people here who have impacted me in constructive ways. I can almost feel a Democratic Voter Movement coming on....

How about you guys and gals?

I'm rapidly regaining my BBall form. I've got my free throws back up to 75% and should be 80% by April. My dribbling is probably the best it's ever been, and I'm working on some low post moves for the first time in my life. And although my endurance and jumping will never be the same again...

    Smeggy's got nothing!!!!

Other than sucking countless hours out of my life? ;)

I have a much better understanding of the American conservative position and mindset.
I have a much better understanding of the American hawk position and mindset.
I have a much better understanding of the Christian right perspective (Understanding does not equate to agreement with, but I now feel that we can genuinely agree on many of the fundamentals Christianity, and even come to some general and even some specific agreements about some of the expressions of the faith, at least when I think about the positions of some of the people on this board. And I do see room for dialogue now in a broader context, amongst seemingly quite varied Christian groups, which is close to miraculous to me.)
I’ve been able to discuss my faith in a way that I haven’t really done before.
I know a lot more about basketball and the NBA than I did before.
I’ve gotten some good music tips.
I say “y’all” sometimes now, but only on this board. ;)

I'm more aware of the news which is good and bad.

It is good in the sense that I know what's going on but it is also bad in the sense that I know what's going on.

    Wierd, huh? :)

Knowledge is power, though, don’t you think? When we know, we can take action. But we also have to know that we can’t personally carry all of the world’s problems, or perhaps that we can carry them in different ways and at different levels. If I was giving you my Christian perspective Jeff (which I suspect you’ve had your fill of ;) ) I’d say that the overwhelmingness of the problems we face leads us to question past the logic of our world and existence, and into the spiritual realities of our existence. And as awful as it sounds, perhaps that’s at least partly what it’s all about.

It has opened my eyes to how many idiots there are in the world. I mean I never thought people were this dumb then I came here and I am just shocked:D :D :D

Really it opens my eyes to how real the internet is. There are people here, (Manny, shall remain nameless :D ). That take this place very seriously. You can tell they feel a conection to the people they chat with everyday. That could be a good or bad connection. Still you can see how important the internet and people on the internet are to people.

It turned me into a person obsessed with spelling things right.

Also, I get less work done.

I know what is going on on the web (new sites, funny sites are posted here all the time).

I understand the position of people from the US (conservative or from the left) on political issues better.

It helps me improve my English by allowing me to practice it.

I used to spend more time doing sports, now I have become a total computer geek.

It makes me laugh a few times a day.

I know much more about basketball now.

How are those jumpshots coming along? Pretty funny picture in my head - jump, shoot, driblble (repeat).

I still agree with your conclusion - Smeggy's got nothing. I'll kick his ass and I won't even be there.

    Back to the topic....

My Spanish is slightly better since corresponding with Boville via chat.

My spelling is probably worse from reading all of the illiterates.

    I have become more pessimistic.

I have learned how truly mean my wife can be in regards to other people.
