He could have been better if he had more of a drive to improve his overall game instead of settling for just being good at certain things.

Much like T-Mac, he never reached his full potential as a player. :p

Yes, and that has nothing to do with his Hall-of-Fame teammates.

Bob was decent, but it's his knack for hitting the clutch shot that makes him legend. He sank the shots, so he gets my respect, but as an all-around player, he was mediocre. It was ugly watching him try and face the basket and take it to the rim.

He was basketball version of Reggie Jackson....

Regular season he was so - so...

Playoff time he was the man

And he wouldn't be in position to take those shots without his Hall of Fame teammates.

Just stop. I didn't say anything about him being a winner or a clutch shooter. He could have been a much better player than he was. He didn't need to be. Good for him. I like Robert Horry.

Hahahaha I give up. You have 25,000+ posts and they're all exactly the same. I really don't know why I thought I could get you to be rational or objective.

I remember watching Horry and thinking, what is so special about this guy? And then he would make multiple clutch shots in the playoffs.

Can we vote "all of the above?" :)

He really was physically gifted, but maybe tended not to assert himself as much as his athleticism may have suggested (but HOF players ahead of him were first scoring options).
