I remember the Sacramento Kings Kenny.. That guy was a hooper. This mfer was soft as Charmin .. but he knew his role which you can't say the same for this current team

A young Kenny Smith would immediately be the best guard on our roster. Or at least the most complete guard, anyway. They didn't call him the Jet for nothing, dude was quick!

In Kenny, we had an All-Star who basically took a backseat to win. That was special. Legend.

Aside from everything in the vid, Also, in the pivotal Game 7 against the knicks he bounced back and had 4 of the first 6 points to get us off to a good start.

When Dream was hurt that year Don Chaney won coach of the year,
Kenny Smith and Otis Thorpe had an unstoppable Pick N Roll

    @leebigez

which this team doesn't know how to do

Plus Kenny can out shoot the entire Rockets team at the 3 point line
    ALL OF THEM

Complete?? Soft at the rim, no real handles,no defense...He could blow by most, solid assist, had hops, and was a streaky good shooter...Filled it up in Orlando, for which we shall always be grateful!

Good enough to take Scotty Brooks job, not good enough to not have his job taken by Sam Cassell.

Well nobody called him the Jet. Ernie Johnson does.

He was a good player, under appreciated for his playing days as a rocket.

He would've been beloved like most Houston champions but we witnessed Derek Harper take his nuts on national TV.. no coming back from that

but that caused the 'kenny smith' rule of hand checking to be implemented which is today's modern nba

There's not many on this board who saw Kenny from day 1 from Sacramento to Houston, only the cliff notes fans who only remember the playoffs
Kenny/OT for Jim Peterson was the trade right?

this goes with Barkley, those who didn't see him play and only his act on TNT, don't think he was a good player.
    Dude was a monster.

I don’t remember him getting the ‘Jet’ epitaph until TNT (TBS!) days.
