Assuming the following events become reality, how good do you think the Rockets will be this year?

    - Hakeem comes back for two years and gives us about 12pts,8rebs,2blks while playing around 60 games
    - Cato comes back determined and leads the league in rebounding! Okay maybe not, [IMG] but he gives us something like 8pts, 8rebs, and 2blks.
    - Griffin gives us around 12 pts, 7 rebs, and 1.5 blks.
    - Maurice gives us what he gave last year.
    - Shandon is back and plays a little better then last year.
    - Mobes, Stevie and Moochie are get a tad bit better.

If all of these scenarios happen, how good do you all think the Rockets can be?

I think they would win around 52 games and just might make the second round of the playoffs.

What you described is the best-case scenario in my mind: we improve everywhere.

    52 wins easy. Maybe 55 or 56.

But I have a tendency to doubt any scenario that is all good and no bad. Therefore I'd agree with your 52, since that's what I've got $ on anyway...

I dont think my scenario is that far fetched. I am not giving Eddie Griffin ROY numbers, I am not saying tha Hakeem is going to give us 15 and 10. I am definitely not saying that Cato will kick ass!

I didnt even take into account what Langhi, Terrence, Collier and Kenny are going to give us. If even two of them have a semi decent year it will be like icing on the cake.

I think my scenario is ideal and I really think the Rockets are going to win around 52 games unless something unexpected happens.

42 games, no playoffs. Steve misses the entire year because of a busted ankle. [IMG]

I still say that last year's team should have won 54 games, so I'll go for 55 this year.

Like I said, my $ is on 52. It really is...

Your scenario isn't even unthinkable. It's even remotely possible. I will gladly give up the bucks to get those xtra wins that I think your scenario would actually bring (55-56). I just never hope for miracles as a general rule.
