Seems to me like they got exactly what they needed. Someone who can play defense. I don't see very many weaknesses in the Bucks if GodZilla can make up for Big Dogs defensive lapses. This team looks solid heading into next year. I'm Bumping them up to six seed unless Orlando goes nuts this offseason. Which they could. ------------------ humble, but hungry. Orlando was clearing A LOT of cap room during the draft, I think it's obvious they have their sights set on both Duncan and Hill. The competition in the East will determine the Bucks position. If Hill leaves to the Magic then the Pistons are done. The Raptors are most likely going to be without T Mac dropping them out. The Pacers are also in question as 4 of their 5 starters are free agents. Plus the Celtics, Nets or Hawks could always slide into that eight spot. Here is my prediction on the 2000 East 1.Magic-Duncan and Hill 2.Hornets-Should of beaten the 76ers 3.Heat-Zo/PJ/Gatling is a tough down low 4.Pacers-Thats if everyone resigns 5.76ers-Kukoc the whole season 6.Knicks-Camby takes over as full time C 7.Bucks-Improve to 7th 8.Celtics-Moiso is the difference ------------------ I AM SPARTACUS
The Bucks didn't get what they needed. They still have no scoring post presence, and Pryzbilla won't even have a CHANCE of becoming that till another 3 years down the line, while we have our pick already in hand . The Bucks already do have a defensive center (Ervin Johnson), this year, I can't see Pryzbilla being that much a better of a player than him. ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better. I think Johnson may be able to play the 4, but I still see them as a bottom half playoff team. All it takes is one bad slump and the rockets get a 11-15 pick. ------------------ "You've got 6 fouls, use them well" -Derrick Coleman [This message has been edited by Joe Joe (edited June 29, 2000).]
Thats interesting prediction on the finish of the east. Heres what I think, and I am going to be gracious with the Magic also as things are looking like they will definitely sign at least one big FA 1)Orlando 2)Heat 3)Knicks 4)76ers-they beat the Hornets fair and square and woulda done MUCH better against Pacers with a healthy Snow 5)Pacers 6)Hornets-If Eddie returns switch with Pacers 7)Bucks 8)NJ I think the East has at least become more competitive so far this offseason. Im counting on Byron Scott to take the talent in NJ and mold them into a team. Also, I dont think the Raptors will definitely fall that far. They could still be in the playoffs. Also, the Bulls are improved as are the Celtics (but they shouldnt make the playoffs). I too dont think Pryzbilla helps the Bucks that much. I mean Ervin Johnson isnt great or anything, but will Pryzbilla be beating him at the center position. I dont htink so. Only help I see from Pryzbilla is because of the fact that JOhnson is often in foul trouble. ------------------ When I die I want to go peacefully like my grandfather. I'm still unsure about New Jersey as Kerry Kittles is a big question mark right now. ------------------ I AM SPARTACUS
The Bucks at the very best are a 6th seed in the east. There is still a chance they are a low (12 or 13) lottery pick. Karl has already said the veterans will get the majority of the time, and Pryzbilla will have to spend time learning. ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better. NIKEstrad, 1. Did you know before the draft that he was left-handed? 2. How many left-handed players went before him? Mango ------------------ Eat more spinach! Live long and prosper! Donate blood! Smeg will be assimilated. Now...back to updating The Serious Police Files.
I knew he was left handed, but it wasn't fully in my mind. I think Moiso was the only lefty ahead of him. Well, we got a 7 foot left handed PF with shooting range. Yummy. Now, I'm gonna go down a list of enticing players that play SF, PF, or C, that put this draft's class to shame. 1. Loren Woods 2. Brendan Haywood 3. Eddy Curry 4. Tyson Chandler 5. Gerald Wallace 6. Shane Battier 7. Vincent Yarbrough 8. Terrence Morris 9. Eddie Griffin 10. Dan Gadzuric 11. Troy Murphy 12. Drew Gooden 13. Carlos Boozer 14. Brian Cook 15. Ajou Deng 16. Richard Jefferson 17. Tayshaun Prince 18. Steven Hunter 19. Alvin Jones 20. Zach Randolph Starting to see these people? I can go on. And that's not even counting the PGs and SGs. We very well could go out of the draft with 2 franchise players at the forward spots. ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better. Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. NIKEstrad, When would Woods, Haywood and Curry have been picked in the 2000 draft? If the Rockets could get something like Haywood and T Morris in 2001, how happy would this BBS be? Mango-Depends on a lot of things. Likely top 5. Our draft could be Haywood Morris,or if we get lucky (as in our pick is top 5) we could have a draft of Curry-Morris. Even Cook-Morris would be pretty sweet. ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better. Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong? Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.
