When market analysits throw around the label "gamer", usually they refer to the buying power of different groups. This hardcore gamer group tends to be the 18-35 male PC and to a lesser extent colsole owner. Where do you fall at this point in the Next-Gen era? I am up to 6 PS3 games (plus 3 PSN games) but I'm seriously thinking of buying halo 3 and going over to my friends to play it.
Well if you count the virtual consle as Wii games then I'm at 5+ ...if not then 2; I'd have more but there's just nothing out right now that I want...waiting on Metroid and Mario Galaxy. Eventually I'll get a 360 and will probably have as many games for it as I do w/ my xbox (close to 20)
Well, obviously not your kind of "GAMER". I game on my PC. I gave up on consoles for now. My xfire is in my signature. That's my man games.
I have 6 PS3 games. Oblivion Street Homecourt Tiger Woods Resistance Darkness Motorstorm I have a few of the PSN titles Stardust HD Calling All Cars Tekken 5 I spend most of my PS3 time playing Stardust lately. I also have a PSP. Haven't bought that many games in awhile though.

I have 2 X-Box 360s with about 20 games...one at the Lake house and one at home. I have 1 Wii here at home with 10 Wii games and over 60 Game cube games. In addition I have a game cube at the Lakehouse and another game cube we gave to my mother in law for when they watch the kids. Also, I have 5 PCs in the house and over 100 PC games. Also, in storage I have pretty much every console ever made with TONS of games.....one day I will have a media room....I already have my switcher for all the consoles, just no where to store them. I am holding out on the PS3 until the price drops and my new company launches. DD

At least...probably closer to...well let me count ......108 is the game cube count..... The X-box 360 official count is 35 games I forgot that I have two PSPs as well as DS and GBA etc... Lots of games..... DD
Sorry. Only 10 options allowed in the poll. I think you would be hard pressed to find a PC gamer than less than 5 games though. Just wanted to see how the next gen console market is shaping up. You need to buy Ninja Gaiden Sigma. It's up there with Fall of Man. Some have said better. Do you have the japanese import Nurutu? It's one of the best GC games I've ever played. It might be cool to do a list of every single game for every system that people own...
I play a ton of games. Own a lot of GC and PS2 games. Lot of games I still haven't gotten around to. Still see no reason to upgrade when there are so many great PS2 games out there, including some games that have yet to be released. I'm going to need to get another PS2 eventually. I'll either get that or a DS sometime around xmas. The DS has more games that I'm interested in than any of the next gen consoles have.
Honestly, when I think of "gamer", specifically hardcore gaming, I think of PC, not consoles. In fact, to me, all consoles signify casual gaming (which is why console fanboyism is laughable to me). When you spend 5 straight hours raiding a dungeon with 29 other people (and receive zero loot in the process), that's hardcore. I own many, many PC games and only have 2 games (not including Wii Sports) with my Wii.
I have a modded 360 with about 7 games. But I've probably logged only about 5-6 hours of total playing time in the year I've owned the system. I find I have no time to play, although Virtua Tennis is one of the few games that doesn't take that long to play. I only own racing or sports games though.
