There are only 6 of us in here right now! How late are the rest of you bums gonna sleep? And Newbiehad? You're still awake from your shift aren't you? That doesn't count! wup, gotta go to work and make the donuts...
I'm on days this week, oily. I get up at 2:45 to be here by 4 in the morning. Ugh. BTW, any other shift workers out there?
I go to bed at 1-2am, wake up at about 5:30-5:45am, I'm at work at 7:00am... like clockwork every weekday.
I get up around 7:30 - 8 am, eastern time. I don't come straight to the computer, though, cuz I got other stuff to do in the mornings.
6:10 Am EST weekdays. between 10 am and noon on weekends, depending on the nights activitiy. but you know sometimes ya dont sleep, and sometimes you sleep till 4pm i know i did at Mardi Gras
My ideal would've been between 7:30 and 8am CST. Today, it was 9:15am. Sometimes, when I have gigs on the weekend (like I did this past weekend), it screws up my sleep schedule and it takes me a few days to get back to normal. I end up going to bed at 3am and getting up around 10:30 or 11. Then I have to migrate back to 8.
Good lord DoD! You must have some wicked bags/circles under your eyes! I'd be a vegetable without at least 5-6 hours of sleep.
No bags (well, except around my waist and that's an effin' pontoon). The only day I remotely have a chance of getting 8 hours of sleep is on a weekend, but usually on Friday's and Saturdays I go to sleep around 2-5am and wake up around 8-9:30am at the latest. Then again there are days I don't sleep at all... lol. Those are exciting. I get headaches when I sleep for more than 7-8 hours. I also take a nap of about 15-30 mins when I get home, so i guess that takes care of the other hours I miss out on.
You BUMS! just kidding. Actually, I don't know how y'all stand it. I get up around 9:00, give or take some. It varies a good deal. Yes, I realize some real world jobs start at 8 a.m. Like teaching 8:00 classes. If that's me, hopefully I can at least have a break midway through the day to rest up a bit. These days, the traffic is heavy during the day (especially rush hour, though I come and go later) and the campus of UT is getting crowded again. I wish I could be nocturnal in the summer, sleep inside during the heat of the day, and come out at night to do my work. Nobody would be in my way then. My boss wouldn't know if I was ever here, though. Are all y'all morning people or do you just have to be? (and don't say "good morning" to me; mornings are not good. Well, good for sleeping. )
Weekdays: Wake up at 5:55 AM Sleep at 11:30 PM Weekends: Wake up between 10AM to 1 PM Go to sleep between 4 AM to 6 AM
I enjoy getting to work before anyone else simply because I can think better without junk happening around me. I work for a very small company so most of my chump co-workers don't roll in until 9am or so. I think I'm weird because I'm a night and morning person which makes for very little sleep. I'm just perpetually wired I think. I just don't like sitting around and not having either my body or my brain function (i.e. just sit and watch tv or sleep). What's even cooler (at least I think so) is that I've given up all caffeinated drinks, and I don't feel groggy. I felt sleepier and groggier when I was drinking about 4-5 cups of coffee every morning. Now it's no problem. And yes... I think I'm a workaholic.
I go to sleep aroudn 3 or 4:00 am everyday. I think I have the worst case of insomnia on this board. Wake up usually around 11:00 am (Hey its summer and I have no school damnit!) You all should ask HeyDude when he wakes up. That fool, when not working goes to sleep around 2:00 am. Wakes up at 2:00 pm! Then he goes back to sleep at 6:00 pm and wakes up at 8:30 pm. That is like what 14.5 hours of sleep!
During school year, i goto sleep at 1 am and wake up at 6..... weekends like 3 am wake up at noon... During summer.... Well if i decide to sleep its usually 5:30 am to noon or 1pm
I usually go to bed around 2 and get up around 7 or so. When school was on, I went to bed around 3 to 4 every night and woke up at 7:30. What's coolest is when I was in San Antonio one summer taking classes, for about a whole month I only slept about 20 to 30 minutes per day. I developed this system where I could sleep for about 5 to 10 minutes and it'd be just like I had slept for 5 to 10 hours. I'd fall asleep at my desk and *poof* wake up a few minutes later fully ready to get back to work for another few hours.
The wierdest schedule I ever had was when I was going to UT in Austin. I would sleep from 4am to 8am, go to class, then sleep from noon to 4pm. Then, I'd get up, eat, watch Jeopardy and All in the Family re-runs before playing my bass until about midnight (usually 6 or 7 hours). Then, I'd go up to a friend's apartment and hang out, play bass (he played guitar) or watch tv until around 4am. God, that was wierd!
