The reason I'm asking is I want Kurt Thomas. The guy would be the last piece of our puzzle. Would he do a Cato for Thomas trade??? I just remember how hot he was for Cato last summer. What do ya'll think. Am I smoking too much crack???

Looks like he is getting along with Yao very well on the court, right? ;)

I don't think layden is this dumb, he always overpaid players big bucks, but the player is not that bad in New York.

Mavs is very interested in Kurt also. And obviously PF is now Rox's weakest link. Man, I wish Rox can get Kurt.

Drop the crack pipe,The Knicks are reluctant to give him up. In fact they are looking for star players in any potential trade.

Well.....Yao would be very pleased. This guy gives him broken elbows.

I would like him though. He can shoot pretty well and is a strong defender and rebounder. MAN...I WOULD LIKE DOLEAC!!! We just need one person who can make middle distance shots.

THE WHOLE KNICKS TEAM can shoot from midrange. We don't have anyone...

From what I've read and from what the Knicks broadcasting team has said for several seasons, the Knicks love Thomas and IMO he's not going anywhere except in on situation. That exception would be if they could move Allen Houston and his big contract. In any event, I do feel Kurt Thomas will ever be moved as part of some "chump change" sort of trade. It would be a borderline blockbuster.

Plus the Knicks have him locked in for two more seasons at a dirt cheap price.

Layden is in fact not that dumb. He made a mistake a couple of years ago by signing all those big contracts, but he was partly forced to do that because of all the pressures he had from the media and the fans. Other than that, he didn't make many other mistakes. OK, maybe drafting Fred Weis over Ron Artest was one. However, trading the pick for Mcdyess IMO was a good trade. Unfortunately Dice broke his knee. If he were healthy, they could have made the playoffs this year.

Now Kurt Thomas is not the answer for the Rockets. He is mainly a scorer and we have enough of that on our team.

I knew I was smoking took much crack. I just love the guy and apparently the Knicks do to. Anyone that is 6'10" who can cover Yao the way he does is just awesome.

And, he IS NOT even 6'10.

He is a 6'9 gross (with shoe), but tough as rock.

No not really. Nothing compared to Grant and LaFrenz. He even blocked Yao once and it was clean.

Kurt Thomas is not a very good defender. Don't be fooled by the way he plays Yao. They all play Yao tough.

yao is a rookie, and nobody is going to let a rookie show them up, so there are going to play the #1 overall pick as hard as they can... thats going to be the rest of the season as well.

By my recollection Kurt Thomas once got in trouble for hitting his wife. I don't think the Rox want any wifebeaters on this club.

    Portland may be interested though.

    :p
