How Does This FCC Ruling Affect the Rockets?

    My bet, at this point, is that if the ruling applies to the NFL, it will apply to the NBA and MLB as well.

    The best bet would be that it would apply to the NFL and NBA but not MLB due to its previous treatment by the courts: see "America's Pastime"

    the nba's blackouts are contractual, not legal are they not? didn't think the nba broadcast on free to air at all anymore.

    The nba blackout that impacts houston with regards to csn is not impacted by this ruling. That is an out market blackout agreed to between the league and cable providers, not the FCc.
