The Suns just got slower, but will they be more effective in the half-court game of the playoffs? It looks like there will be more weight thrown at the Great Wall. Can he handle the extra load from the Suns, Lakers, and Mavericks?

Nothing. The Rockets dont have big expiry contract like Kwame Brown or tradeable player like Shawn Marion after all.

Yeah in my opinion they helped teams who don't run as well. I'd say that the Rockets fit that bill perfectly.

    For playoff picture, practically NONE.
Suns are shoe-in for high up in the playoff ranking anyway, and Lakers, assuming Bynum comes back, will be up there as well.

Mike James + Snyder + draft pick + cash for Mike Miller. This can save the Grizz ~10 millions.

With Phoenix, it was always Marion that killed us anyway.
We are pretty good at protecting the basket, but Marion's
transition 3's always did us in as well as his incredible amounts
    of offensive rebounds.

I think this betters our chances against Phoenix now as we've
always done a great job on Amare.

Marion would always quickly come over to double Yao and
now with Shaq, they may let him go 1-on-1 which Yao should
tear him up at this stage of his career.

Gasol is dangerous as this gives LA a legitimate back to the
basket player and another whiner about every foul call.

The Lakers have a big, deep and talented front line if Bynum returns to the level he was playing at. I worry about them. The Suns have hurt themselves, in my opinion. I still think that the Rockets can beat anybody if they are playing at their best. I think our odds went up this year because we have more ways of hurting teams and adapting to different types of teams in the playoffs. If the big two are healthy, we can beat anybody.

A couple of Western Conf teams have gotten better. The Suns will get slower but in the playoff the defense goes up a couple of notches so a half court defensive presence such as Shaq will help out a great deal.

The Rockets have needs as well but none greater than a point guard. We need a tall, legit point guard (i.e. Miller or Kidd). Don't know how we can get them, but nevertheless that's what we need.

    Nothing.

The only thing the Rockets should have in mind is making the playoffs.

Then let the chips fall where they may.

The Grizz do this because...they are looking for a PG to back up Crittenden who backs up Lowery who backs up Navarro who backs up Conley?

i agreem the rockets need to worry about making the playoffs... and nothing else... i'm going to lock Phx, SA, Dal and LA as definite for the playoffs... Either Utah or Denver will mostly likly win that division. So that's 5 spots taken. The way I see it, those last 3 spots will be up for grabs btw:

Denver or Utah (which ever doesn't win the division)
    Houston
New Orleans (better record than most now, but i'm not convince they can fall out)
    Portland
    Golden State

At this point i'm damned near rooting for the LAL and Phx go on a streak, and give some of these other western teams some losses...

Suns deal slows them down a bit so it helps us, of course Shaq has to actually play for this to happen...

Lakers deal makes them tougher to guard so it hurts us...

Where is our deal.......T-Mac for JKidd straight up? Maybe throw in Mike James for Boki if they want a guard? :D
