How do you find the derivative for this function using TI-89?
    x^2+y^2=20

    Thanks

Rewrite the equation in the form y = (blah blah blah). Then, use the d() function.

    How about this equation:
    x^4+y^4=8xy

You know you can play baseball on a TI-89 right?

Wow, this is good timing for me. Does anyone know how to make a scatter plot and regressions on a TI-89? And I'm pretty sure that Kimble is right on the derivative.

the first thing you do is stop being a p***y and use a man's calculator like the TI-86, or even better the TI-81, that doesn't do all the work for you.

the second thing you do, i'm not sure. but definitely sure on the first.

with the scatter plot your gunna need a flash program that does stats for you

Some come built in with it, some dont

and you still aren't. I'm in the third class of calculus and he doesn't let us use calculators on quizzes or tests. You can use it to do your homework, but it's not going to do you any good. last quarter the proffessor let us use it and just told us not to use the derivative and integral functions of the calculator. I'm sure everyone listened to him :D
