Is there a look up like there is for IP addresses that will tell you how long a website has been up if you have the domain name?

       Domain servers in listed order:

          NS2.CLUTCHCITY.NET
Looks like Clutch registered clutchfans.net on September 30, 2003? And clutchcity.net on October 5, 1999? You can't really find out when it was "launched," but only when the domain name was actually registered. I'd think the launch date would be shortly thereafter.

Tried that and it didn't work. Website has dashes in the domain name and it won't work with that site. Apparently it is a sub page and gets redirected. Even the IP points to the parent site.

    Thanks though.

Huh. It worked fine on a domain name that had a "-" in it for me. What website are you trying to find the registration date for?

    FAIL?

WHOIS lookups only tell you when the URL top-level domain was created, not when a site "went up" (that's what she said), sir.

Did you try the Way Back Machine at archive.org, señor Duchovney?

It is an internal site so I would rather not posted it here...

You could also try using Wayback Machine to narrow it down.
