How do you feel the rockets missing the playoffs this season?

Definitely sad. I don't understand all the people that are excited about going to the lottery. Myself... I'd rather that the team kicked ass without Yao Ming this year as they'd be that much more terrifying by the time he got back. Seems to me that rooting for your team to fail for any reason whatsoever just undermines why we're fans in the first place.

 

I don't even recognize this team, and I've been a fan for a long time. This team has not been great for a while.

 

Who would be happy that we didn't make the playoffs? It sucks that for the first time in three years I won't have to call into work saying I'm sick due to not knowing the days they played. It's lame but now I get to look forward to seeing the Astros ............ . Damn I hope Football comes fast.

 

I really wouldn't use the word "happy" but I am content yet a bit sad because for a while there I felt like we were about to pull off the impossible. It will all be worth it if Morey can complete his masterpiece this offseason.

 

I am definitely sad that we didn't make the playoffs. This team really worked hard and for most of the season relied on their heart, huffort, and determination rather than stricly relying upon their athleticism.

I think this is the 1st time in 3 seasons that we didn't make the playoffs. I might be wrong though. I really wanted the young guys such as Bud, Taylor, and Hil to experience the post season but as the unofficial Rockets motto goes:

There's always next year!

 

Considering what we had this season we did very well. I will say we are the best team to not make the playoffs this year and we will make a huge leap next season... maybe even the most improved team.

 

After seeing what our underdog team did last year against the Lakers, no fan on this board should be happy that we are missing the playoffs.

 

They have done better than I expected. 35 wins was my prediction.

Nevertheless,I would have been happy if we made it to the playoffs. We do need to get a solid rotation player in the lottery. Quite often you can very good talent in the lower half of the 1st round or high in the 2nd round. We also were fortunate to get C-Bud with the 44th pick. We need a player who is more well rounded than our recent picks so far. DM has done a very solid job through the draft so far. Let's hope for the best while being realistic.

Of course I'm sad. I like to win games, plus playoff basketball is the best basketball to watch. I would enjoy it, even if we had no chance as the 8th seed.

 

I picked the "don't care" option thinking that no one else picked it. I was wrong. You people are wrong for not caring...

I don't see how anyone can not be sad. I want my Rockets to get to the playoffs. Maybe I'm delusional but I always think that we can somehow win a ring every time we get to the playoffs.

 

its not a big shock, they were fun to watch and i cant wait till next year, yao coming back and all the young guys got playing time, watch out fools!

I feel more about the bones in Yao's legs and feet than whatever the Rockets do this season.

i'm pissed...being a lottery team is embarssing in my opnion...

 

I'd be mixed had we had 5th worst record or something, so something to really hope for, but as of now we are essentially locked for 13th pickish, making playoffs we could've gotten 17th, that would've been better I think.
