I wanna hear what Rocket fans think about this trade. eventually the Lakers are gonna have a hard time signing both Ariza and Odom to a long-term deal this summer unless they somehow trade one of there toxic contracts before the deadline which is unlikely. how would you feel about a.. Tmac for Odom/Ariza? I expect neutral responses but I think it would make sense, especially if the Rockets want to still build around Yao and 2010 is a good opportunity with Odom's expiring contract. I would like to hear from you guys.. Later!
can you throw in Vlad Rad and his "47% shooting gets him into Phil Jackson's doghouse" three point shooting percentage?
I don't think the lakers would go for this. Ariza offers up way more energy and athleticism than T-mac is right now and is really a key part of the lakers offensively and defensively and Odom isn't to inticing to the rockets because we have tons of players to fill the 3-4 spots.
Haha, you are trading TMac for another Tmac, and Ariza, another player who can't create his own shot. No thanks
That's a robbery considering TMAC's huge negative value. lakers would never do it. you have to give up either Battier or Artest to move TMAC.
don't we have a random trade thread already? what we need isn't a trade, it's a blessing from God for some health issues to be resolved
The same way I'd feel about trading Yao for Stro Swift and Sean Williams. This is a garbage can of a thread. T-Mac may not be in Houston's good graces right now, but let's see how he responds first.
in couple of months if he season is looking over and the contracts are both expiring to cheap I would definelty do it.
That's really not a terrible deal, if T-Mac is really as hopeless as he's looking right now. The Rockets can kiss what little championship aspirations they have right now goodbye, but Odom and Ariza are two qualities players. With Battier and Artest still on the team, though, I don't know where they'd fit in.
When AntiSonic says a trade involving McGrady is a bad deal, you know it's a bad deal. Although, i think alot of people sell Odom short. He's long and a really good playmaker and rebounder. I don't see the incentive for both teams to make a deal like this. If Tracy is done because of injuries then Odom/Ariza are and will be much more productive in the future. If Tracy is just sulking over personal issues and at some point returns to form than the Rockets would just be giving the Lakers a star.
Fans don't want to see Tmac on the Lakers! They want him to suffer with the Bobcats or some team like that.
