How do you deal with Superstition on a run like this

    In 1994, I stopped watching games with my bandwagoner friends and resorted to opening my windows and screaming outside to the streets about bad ref calls ... and how everyone should know that Karla should just stay away from me. etc. I couldn't take it anymore come Knicks series and succumbed to the Rockets parties only to lose my mind when all TV sets switched to OJ.

    I nearly bolted from that party to wonder aimlessly on the streets in search of nothing but cheering for Hakeem by myself under the freeway with no TV.

    The beauty of the title runs and this steak is apparently I can do nothing wrong. I think maybe actually there is no such thing as superstition anymore.

    ok, so I am sleeping in my Head jersey every night..but that started way before the streak.

    oh, almost forgot....it seems to help to put DaDakota on ignore in the #clutchfans chat when we are behind in a game. Has anyone else noticed this.

    IMO, streaks and karma only matter during the playoffs. I've mentioned before that I gave up sexual gratification of any kind during the 97 playoffs. Wasn't a good idea, in retrospect. I was actually fine with the Rox losing after a 1 round, 5 game series.

    T-shirts, socks... Quite frankly, any idea is better.

    I don't deal with them. They are things people create to feel apart of it. To feel like they have a part in the winning.

    A 2 week mardi gras season/v-day fling with the Chautauqua Diablo Cody talent (albeit crazy chick) before she left for Chile to chill with daddy, notwithstanding, I missed 3 games for her.

    i eat nachos from taco plus with 3 cups pico de gallo 1 cup jalapenos that brought me Ws since the all-star break

    most of the chat people know (you might even know if you were there one of the times it was brought up) but....

    Right at the beginning of the streak , I got a Scola jersey....After we won with me wearing it, I thought I would wear it again next game to see if it had any mojo.

    And then the game after that.....and after that...after that...after that....

    luckily, sitting at the computer watching the game and chat doesnt make one sweat, or I would have had to wash it by now....but I havent.

    It is a VERY lucky shirt....I was wearing it last night and not only did the Rockets gain sole possession of 2nd all-time, but I shot my first sanctioned 300 in league.

    Im really thinking about retiring it at this point, surely I have used up it's mojo by now.

    I hope not. :(

    sure, when you come to town for game 7 of the Finals. :cool:

    btw, the reason why I mentioned "sanctioned" is because while this isnt my first perfect game, it *is* my first one during league play.

    oh man I have a ton of superstitions about this team and winning...

    but the big one was all day yesterday I wore my Chuckie jersey so I could tell everyone that saw me in it about the streak.

    We went to dinner, I wore it... and I got home just before tip.

    After the first half... I changed into my normal t-shirt and pj bottoms that I wear when I watch the game...

    and it was all good.

    My only one is to wear a rockets jersey (Away TMac/Yao, or Home Luther Head), and to play the next opponent in NBA Live with moestavern19.

    Been doing both of those (together) since the streat started, and we always set aside 1 hour of our time to get that done. (Normally a day before the game, sometimes around 2pm on gameday)
