This thread is for all the nay-sayers to post retractions on their previous Cat-bashing comments. Cuttino is like MadMax in the eyes of many Rockets fans I know, you either love or hate him. However when he is on his game the haters are nowhere to speak of. So if you had unconstructive critism in this bbs pertaining to The Cat this is where you make ammends. Have some crow.

Most of us probably feel the same as always. He has great talent and if he learns to use it properly (like yesterday, I presume -- didn't get to see the game), he can be a real asset. If he goes back to being a dumbass (the previous several games) as he has been more often than not recently, then he's a detriment.

Unfortunately, people who like Mobley seem to take any criticism of him and twist it into "Mobley-hating" so you're never going to have any rational discussion on the subject.

Although there are many who I think are Mobley-haters and will blame him for everything that goes wrong, regardless of what he REALLY did.

You guys take things the wrong way, just because you criticize his play does not mean you hate him.

I can not stand it when he goes one on one as I think it hurts the Rockets. He is much better either driving or shooting an open shot off of a pass from someone else, as EVERYONE is.....

If Mobley played like he did last night every night (not talking about scoring, but about not forcing things and letting the game come to him) then I would have nothing to say but praise.

Mobley played great last night, I hope he keeps it up.

Mobley did play great last night. But that's because we were swinging the ball around and he got open shots.

    ISO OFFENSE SUCKS!!!!!

So you'll scrap the body of his work over the course of his career after one game? Alrighty...

The reason Cuttino had such a great game was that he wasn't rushing his shots. He was taking the shots that he should be taking. We were swinging the ball and finding open for three. He nailed them everytime. What a game for Cuttino. He should always play that type of game. Not rushing shots, forcing shots, but taking good solid shots.

I want to know why Cuttino couldn't do this against the Bulls, or against the Heat. We needed this type of production from Cuttino in at least every other game in order to survive Steve's absence. Instead, he only managed to lead the Rockets to ONE win, in 16 tries. I know that he has been hurting, but he still should have been able to score well against the Bulls, or some of the other horrid teams the Rockets lost to. Yeah, it was a great game, but you can't forget about the 15 straight losses that shouldn't have been.

In last night's victory, Mobley (and Mooch, who has been equally guilty of iso-style ball-hogging) passed the ball consistently in the 4th quarter. By doing so, he allowed the open man to take the shots. It also allowed him to be more open when the ball would be passed back to him. Mobley had 6 assists (Moochie had 14) and whenever the Rockets have a high assist number, they tend to win.

All I hope is that last night is the beginning of a new trend for Mobley and not a pleasant aberration. If he (and the entire Rockets team) passed like this all the time, the Rockets would be a real force to reckon with.

He had one great game against Milwaukee and I think 2 others this whole season. The rest of the time he sucked. Otherwise I concur with ZRB, Major, subatomic, themoandfroshow, and DaDakota.

I agreed with Calvin Murphy on the broadcast last night when he said Cuttino was playing SMARTER. Cuttino has played reckless and out of control for most of this season. Hopefully Mobley can continue to play smarter and let the game come to him instead of forcing it all the time.

I've have always felt the same about Mobley and his role with the Rockets. He is a great player and has the potential to become an even better player than he already is now. Sure he makes mistakes and takes bad shots sometimes but what shooting guard or player for that matter doesn't and with Francis in the backcourt with him he becomes part of one of the best backcourt duos in the league, no doubt!

Cat had a great game. He played within the concepts of "team ball". He will have to play like this on a consistent basis before I remove him from my Chuck Person/Reggie Theus list.

Too bad it took a 15 game slide to see this type of development.

I hate playing the devils advocate, but I still think the same way I did before his game against the Bucks. That goes for the entire team. I'm happy we won, but how many games do you think we can shoot like that from 3 pt range. Of course those shots are going to be open because you play defense inside out. I happy we won, but i still don't like the shots we got. We shot very, very well and barely won. I think the same, the only difference is all those bad shots he normally misses, he hit last night. I still compare him to mad max. Does anyone remember the 50pt out burst of Maxwell? It was times when he would get going and no one could guard him, then there would be times where you didn't need anyone to guard him.
