I saw double Webber and leave their guys open except for Peja and Divac... Let J Will shoot the 3's and let Christie shoot also...

The guards should sag down as low as possible when their man is set to feed the ball to Webber...

JW and Christie are arguably the worst shooting backcourt in the league...

We should put Shandon to put the clamps on Peja on the perimeter...

I really like our chances of winning this game come to think of it... Just force Webber to pass the ball OUTSIDE, rather than letting him pass to Divac or Pollard for the open dunk, which he does very well...

So basically, have either Stevie or Cat double Webber down low and take our chances with Christie and JW...

I think we can run on them too... Divac and Peja aren't exactly fleet of foot... I'd like to see Shandon cherry pick a little and run for our goal when Christie's brick is in the air...

    This game is very winnable...

Myself being a Spurs fan, I got a little suggestion. Beat them the same way you beat us. Have the team underestimate you and then start showering them with threes and shoot well from the floor.

We've lost to the Bucks and Rockets because they've shot the three really good (Bucks where like 9-15) and they killed us from the floor (60%).

Good luck against the Kings! Help us out Rockets, we need some space between the Kings and the Spurs!

Im a big time Rockets fan but Im just gonna tell the truth. Our chances winning there are slim to none. Its almost Impossible to win in Sacremento. But I hope they prove me wrong.

While I would never say that we can't win in this game outright, I definetely think it is a slim chance. And if we get down 20 to these guys on their court, it will take more inspired play from an unexpected source (ie Bullard, Moochie, Rogers, etc) to make the comeback. But if we play them tight the whole game, we can win it down the stretch. The Rockets have proven themselves in this regard.

    I do Believe.

I'll watch the Kings game today to see what they do.

It should be the same game plan as usual though.

Go to Mo early and often to try and get him going, and get Webber in foul trouble if possible.

Let Webber kill us. I could care less if one player goes off. The rockets have won when this happens, like when McDeyyes went for 40 and 20 at Denver and we still won.

Don't double team Webber, but if they do, DO NOT rotate of Peja.

tpl, you are Right On like black hair grease.

rotate off j-will - NEVER PEJA.
force webber to beat you from the outside.
don't allow the vlade's, pollards, etc. to get off.

    let me add.

go to the damn rack. the kings still don't have a shot blocker. webb's the closest thing they have. and i say attack him. get him in trouble early via motay and drives by the CAT and STEVE.

also, the first few games, sac has jumped on us early. it is of the utmost importance for either motay to hit early or for steve/cat to score before the score is 10-0.

christie's "d" is overrated. he really can't stop cuttino. that said, cuttino must DRIVE first, shoot second. if we come out shooting jumpers (that goes for motay, as well), we'll just be igniting their fast break and raucous crowd. send motay in the paint against cwebb and bang with him. i personally guarantee that cwebb won't even try to stop him if he were to bang early with him.

    why?

because a cwebb on the bench hurts worse than a cwebb with 3 blocks. AATTTTAAAAAAACK!

I'd like to see Mo go at CWebb on offense... Webber can get into foul trouble... If we do that, that obviously helps us tenfold...

The one thing I'm skeptical about double teaming down low is that we have horrible rotation... We need the double team to come from the BLINDSIDE of the player we are doubling... This would mean that the Kings would have to swing the ball 3-4 times around the perimeter to hit the open man... If you pass the ball 3-4 times, the guy won't be open anymore...

I think the key to the Rockets beating Sacremento is to outscore them by at least 1 point.

Don't let the crowd get involved? Unless the Rockets start out 20-0, that crowd will be involved. They are the loudest fans in the league, and it isn't even close.
The Rockets could win, but only if Sac wins today. I wouldn't want to face them after a loss.
As for letting JWill and Christie shoot, forget it. They may be bad now, but when the Rockets come to town, they will be shooting lights-out. Trust me when I say that the role players alaways play their best against the Rockets.

They should play because they have a great chance to win- they just can't underestimate Jwill and Christie. When the Rockets underestimate players, they always seem to step up.

    doctors are right.

there is no known cure for a virus.

you must let it run it's course.

and eventually, it will go away.

    ZRB, you are a virus.

    and...that...is...the...problem....

I could say the same thing about you.
I like to call myself, the "Hard-dose-of-reality" virus. I'm the type of virus that really annoys sunshiney positive people, by occasionally telling them what they don't want to hear; the truth.
And the truth is, the Rockets can not underestimate any of the Kings, because they can explode at any time.

    The Kings have no offense.

They look to run and get the easy shot as much as possible. If they can't get an easy shot, then their entire offense is based on the post up game.

They will occasionally set a pick and roll with Webber and Peja, but the post up offense is their game.

Hey welcome fellow Texas bball fan. You don't need much help from the Rockets. The Spurs are the best defensive team in the league, and Duncan MUST be doubled at Clutch time. I'm just glad our shots gave us a big lead before then, or we would likely be sad puppies, today.

Don't worry about the Kings. Your run to close out the season again this year is why the Spurs are the best team in the league the past 3 years. The Lakers were an aberration last year, because Duncan was down.

Defense wins. We must shoot well to beat you.

    I Believe.

and...All your jockstraps are belong on our floor, Admiral.

Looks like Sacramento is going to lose. That makes the Rockets' task much more difficult.

SilverandBlack, that's a cheap shot at the Rockets. If the Admiral and company haven't noticed how hot Houston has been, then that's their fault. Houston won the game, the Spurs didn't underestimate us.

Besides, just becuz Dream isn't playing doesn't mean Robinson should let his guard down.
