I was wondering how good the Mid 90 Rocket Champion teams were?

In 95 Hakeem was in a zone I have yet to see again. Malone, Barkley, David and Shaq were destroyed by the greatness of Hakeem. 95 team is probably better because another HOF'er in Clyde was on our team. Sammy was not a rookie anymore either. That team could match up very very well with the Lakers of today.

Agreed....the second championship team was better simply because Dream was better. Plus, Clyde gave us something we didnt have in 94. I dont think Wilt could have stopped Hakeem in 1995.

The 95 team would demolish the 94 team.

The only real weakness on the 95 team was our PF's. Chucky Brown was our starting PF for crying out loud.

I give the edge to 95 because of Drexler. The 94 team was as close of a one-man team as there ever was.

94 was the greatest season ever for any one player, but he was just as good in 95 so the deciding factor would go to clyde.

I agree the team with Drexler was better, but don't cheapen the work OT did against NY. With Thorpe, the Rockets could deal with the maul-ball played by the Knicks. OT was battling under the weak-side boards every offensive possession and playing tough D. The guy was tough.

The past is gone, the future is now, and the present only lasts a moment...
