Lol I actually was looking for the new domain of watch-movies-link.net and stumbled upon what I guess was a fake website. Tried watching "she's out of my league" and that **** blasted my computer.
"She's out of my league" ????? Dude, turn in your man card, haha. Just back up your stuff and reformat, it's a hell of a lot easier than downloading programs which can possibly make it worse! Your computer will run faster too
Are you seeing this image on your computer at all? If so it was the fake virus that I got also when trying to watch a documentary movie on one of those websites and it was fixed pretty easily following the instruction on my link below. http://www.geekpolice.net/malware-r...emove-antivirus-soft-removal-guide-t18839.htm
Best thing to do is slave your hard drive to another machine and have the slaved drive be scanned for that crap.. If you can't slave your HD then READ READ READ on Google on how to remove it.. So trial and error ways to do it... Safe mode, Stop System Restore (because it can hind in there), Use a USB Flash drive to store your Anti-Malware program and make sure it's up to date, etc, etc etc...
If it was the deal I posted above mine was fixed in about 20 minutes. I do not know how long reformatting will take but test the instructions I linked also as PLAN B.
I've used the instructions linked below from Bleeping Computer without having the reformat the hard drive. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-soft
THis, It's the BEST website around if you're having problems removing malware. If I lived in Houston I'd give you a hand. Basically I remove this, Security Tools 2010...Vista Guardian....XP Security....etc. Daily. For me, at work I see it as fun some times....like solving a puzzle to get all the registry keys. I just removed Soft from a laptop just the other day. Great thing to download from Bleeping Computer, is the RKILL.exe program. It stops malwares and restarts the OS. Always remove from Safe Mode.
A coworker of mine had it and it stopped EVERYTHING from opening It stopped HijackThis and everything. If you can't get any of those methods to work. My gimmick was on computer startup within the first 10 seconds, BEFORE any programs load up, I actually went to the folder the malware is saved and deleted the files. It stopped the program from working and bugging me. Then I installed all the removal software to find and delete out the rest of the leftover crap. Possible locations of files are mentioned here http://www.virusremovalguru.com/?p=5537
i just yell at my computer until it does what I want it to or someone else gets tired of my yelling and fixes it
