Somebody give an old geezer a quick lesson on how to post pictures here ( preferably devoid of geekisms)

If I can learn how my increasingly numerous posts will be infinitely more entertaining.

    Thanks

you have to have your picture hosted by a website, like www.picturetrail.com...then click on IMG when you're posting and copy & paste the web address of you're picture...

If you dont know how to get the web address of the picture, right click on it. Choose "properties". The web address will appear and you just gotta copy it.

but dont leech images from other sites, some folks dont take to kindly to that... its best to host them yourself.. and you cant post images that are on your hard drive.

Hey the picture came out itty bitty even though it is large on my hard drive. I did upload it to Picture trail.

What went wrong? and how do I fix it?

Well it's really funnier when you can see the whole package.

    See.

This pic was originally sent to me titled:

    "When Halloween Costumes Go Bad"

I think I figured it out. I had to move the picture to the album then get the URL for the picture inside the album. I hadn't moved it so I think the URL was for the thumbnail on the opening page.

I'd like to know if that's correct though.
