Yo Guys, Someone on here has to know how to get cheap airfare and hotel to Vegas? Maybe an agent or good website. I have already looked at Orbitz,Expedia,Travelocity, etc. Airfare : 200$ per person GooD Room : 125+ per night. This leaves no dough for anything else. Would be interested in honeymoon or wedding packages that have airfare and hotel included. I want to arrive on a friday and leave either Sunday or Monday. Looking to go in October, probably on the 12th. What I may do is get some buddy passes on Continental for the airfare and use my fiancee's dad's Harrah's Diamond card for two free nights stay at Harrah's on the strip. Any help is appreciated!!!

Well if you want a good guide to ALL of the hotels, I highly reccomend checking out: www.cheapovegas.com Barbary Coast is a great deal, so is the Sahara
What is your definition of a "good room" If you want to stay in one of the nicer name casinos, you are generally going to pay about 89-109 on the weekdays and close to 200 on weekends. If that is too much you need to look at places like treasure island, circus circus, or look at places in dowtown. 200 is about as cheap is you are going to get for flights, every once in awhile you can find something around 150. . Sometimes funjet will run packages for about 300 for your airfare and room for 3 nights.
I really just want to stay on the strip. A friend of mine just went and got 69$ a night at NewYork NewYork. Thanks for the info!
I stayed at the New York New York last september for a bachelor party. Thur/Fri Sat. Rates were like 89/179/199. I thought the place was below average at best. When I go back i will stay at either Mandalay Bay, Hard Rock, Rio, or Venitian. If you go during the WEEK Mon-Thurs you maybe able to get 69 dollar rates on the strip, it is going to be tough to do on the weekend, during the month you are traveling though.
Aight Guyz, thanx for the help. Just to let you know... Flight for two (163$ per person from Houston to Vegas) at Hotwire.com - pretty cool site, they give you a price before you pay but you dont know the carrier or the flight time so you MUST be flexible. But whats cool is this was the cheapest by far. Orbitz.com was 226$ a person. The carrier that I got the flight on was charging 230$ a person, but Hotwire got me the same departure flight I wanted but a later return flight. But hey, 120$ is 120$. So the total is 326$ with all taxes. Hotel, I checked Hi and Low and thought that I was gonna be stuck with 75-100$ a night during the week (sun-thursday) I got 3 nights at the Rio for only 59$ a night. WOW. I went to Rio's website and booked it. Expedia rates them a 5 star hotel with the Bellagio,Venetian, and Mandalay Bay. So the total for them with taxes is 192.93 TOTAL. Expedia, Travelocity, and all the other sites wanted to charge 120$ a night. So, my whole trip for two people for 4 days/3 nights in Vegas is 518.93$. Man you cant beat that. The cheapest I could find this package ANYWHERE else was 725$. 200$ cheaper for a little digging. Let me know if you guys ever need any help getting cheap air/hotel.
If you wanted to stay in a place with clean (and plain) rooms for real cheap, try the Excalibur. They probably have some of the plainest rooms in Vegas, but they are clean and very cheap.
Nothing the matter with the Rio...but it's NO Bellagio. Rates are also a little cheaper since it's off the strip (across the freeway). Pretty cool casino, though.
They must have a deal with the hotels man... Thats a friday night when they really gouge you on the hotel rooms. I am still happy with 163$ though... Rio will be great!
Yeah I know man... wish I could pay that scratch... If I pick up a few C-notes in the casinos then maybe I can get a room at Mandalay Bay or Bellagio.
Just to emphasize someone else's point - the Rio is not on the Strip and is not even really walking distance from the strip. I walk up and down the strip when I'm in Vegas, but even I took a cab to the Rio. Maybe they have shuttles to the strip? Last time we stayed in the Monte Carlo for about $100 per night. Nothing special, but clean and in the middle of the strip.
