And no, im not talking about relatives or people I dont like.

I live out in the country and I keep hearing pests up in my attic. I think it could be mice and ive put out traps and they arent going for it. What works best? I dont want to put out poison because I dont want them to die somewhere in a cupboard where I will have to smell a dead carcass.

So can anyone tell me what truly works? DO those electronic pest things work?

I have been told that the electronic pest controllers aren't very good but don't know from personal experience. If you are hearing things in the attic it could possibly be a number of animals; bats, possums, raccoons, squirrels, mice, rats, etc.

Those are not animals. Those are angry spirits who died in your house long ago who now has a grudge on the current inhibitors of the house.

it basically looks like a rectangular box, u place sum bait at the end where the electrical plate is. the rats come in , step into the kill zone and bang. crispy critter

Seriously speaking, I got the exact same thing without the electrical plate. It just traps the mice. The good thing about this is that the mice is still alive trapped inside that plastic rectangle and you can do with it whatever you want. Kill it slowly or whatever.

But at the end of the day, it all boils down to the bait. I tried the peanut butter on the cracker thing. Didn't work. It wasn't really for me, it was my next door neighbor who had the problem. I got him one and I got one for myself (I got paranoid that the mice will hop over to my place somehow). Neither of us had any luck though.

The price was like 4 bucks each or something from Walmart. maybe it was less, don't remember.

Isn't there like a ghostbuster type you can call for these? Just call them and maybe they'll fix the problem from the very root. One hit and it'll never come back.

Whether it's friends, family, or bugs.

If you pee on them, they will leave.

We had mice in our basement and used a hard plastic mouse trap with peanut butter as bait. It worked OK for awhile. THen I noticed that they were drawn to a bag of styrofoam shipping peanuts that I had under the basement stairs (maybe to use for bedding?). I relocated the trap to next to the bag and got 7 of them in 2 days. They didn't return.

Well, its getting close to winter time.........and since i live in the country, im worried about these pests. Has anyone here ever tried the Electronic Sensors that you plug in? They are supposed to ward off any rodent or critter while being safe for dogs and pets. Its the only suggestion I can come up with because laying out traps is not gonna solve the problem......just delay it.
