This is really annoying me. I cant seem to figure out how to change the extention of a specific file in windows 2000. All that I want to do is change it from:
    *.part to *.avi

    Can anyone please help?

Can you see the extensions? If you can, you just have to rename the file (only just rename the extension).

If you can't see the extensions, you need to turn them on. Go to Tools>Folder Options, click the "View" tab, then uncheck the box by "Hide file extensions". That should do it.
