They had over a 150 yd advantage in offense. An advantage in passing and rushing. A pretty big advantage in TOP and 3rd down conversion. There wasn't a difference in turnovers. It seems like it should have been a blowout.

Where we lost the game was penalties and special teams. I don't think there are as many holes as people think. They had a big kick return and of course the Texans had a bunch of missed kicks.

When you're leading a game 21-3, and 24-6 at the end of the third... and you lose... your defense may have something to do with it.

Colts looked abysmal in the first half, and when they stepped up in the second half, the Texans defense didn't.

The only punt the defense forced in the second half was when the Colts were trying to run out the clock at the end.

    Couldn't get a single stop. :(

Wade has done a lot for this team but there is a history of his defenses regressing the more he spends with a team isn't there? If so, that may be what we are seeing...

Defense has been a issue this year, they rank good yardage wise but that doesn't mean diddly when you are giving up TDs.

Bullock leaving 9 pts off the board, Gary Kubiak collapsing at half-time, and the refs handing the Colts 6 pts. One of those 3 things was really unfortunate, and it really took aggressiveness out of the defense to start in that 3rd quarter. At this point, I'm all for tanking -- this was the game to get the W if there was a shot at the post season.

wade is just stubborn. always leaving your average CBs on an island will eventually come back to haunt you, especially if your 7 man blitz can't even sniff the QB.

Kubes decision to go for it on 4th and 1 instead of kicking the fg was really bad.

I didn't mind that call to be honest. Fans always rip him for being too conservative so i don't mind that risk. Bullock probably misses it anyway haha

What frustrated me the most on that sequence was Tate's sliding down when he was still a yard short of the 1st. I know someone might say the guy slipped, but to me it looked like he slid...and there were three other instances where it looked like if Tate had really hit the defender hard with the intent to drive another yard or two, he could have had a first down, and instead he kind of shied away from the contact. I think maybe he was afraid of fumbling the ball, I don't know.

There aren't stats for missed field goals or missed defensive back assignments on your opening post. That's why.

Probably the only telling thing from your stats is "1st downs from penalties". <- not cool, just showing I'm not mad at ya, bro.

    LMAO!

This board rages when Kubiak settles for the safe FG play on a 4th-and-1.

And now people are getting upset at his decision to go for it, rather than kicking a field goal.

What do you guys want Kubiak to do? Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Horrible field position (in second half) thanks to poor special teams play (Martin running out of the back of the end zone, a 19 yd. punt, missed FG's, etc.) The defense had a sterling first half, and collapsed in the second half. Our secondary has that "toast" feeling again. One Colts TD would have been prevented except for the stupid roughing the passer call. Luck was still on the field trying to throw. The uber conservative play calling must not be coming from Kubiak, he wasn't there in the second half. The "incomplete catch" call on AJ was a game changer. It clearly looked like a mistake. What we see is that this team has a lot more problems than QB. The good news is that the last two games have been very competitive thanks to Case. If the other issues can be addressed (in the off season) the team can start winning again. Case is a winner, and he is clutch. He will only get more comfortable and improve. When Yates took over year before last, was his overall performance anything like now? Not even close, but the team was playing better.

Seriously. It is nothing new. Texans have been doing this for years. They are the constant Jekyll and Hyde of the NFL.

Lets give credit where credit's due. Andrew Luck will be the GOAT with it's all said and done. He's just too damn good.

The team just didn't come out the same. Not excusing their second half, but the coach goes down, and the game just felt different. The guys are only human.

That said, our secondary was bad. Beating the dead horse with our kicker. and Our play calling got very conservative. We should have stepped on their throats when we had the chance.

Even with the defensive melt down the last 20 minutes, it was special teams play that was the main culprit. 3 missed FGs, one unfortunately timed lousy punt, continuing issues in the return game, including the one holding call on the last Colt punt.

I liked that he went for it. The play call? Not so much.

He never puts up video game numbers, but when the game is on the line, he gets it done. Remember, he lost his #1 receiver for the year while Case basically threw exclusively to his #1. Also, Luck only had 200+ yards vs. the Broncos also, not crazy numbers at all.

Tate was a STUD playing with 4 cracked ribs, but he shouldn't have got 22 carries. He was a little tentative as anyone with cracked ribs would be. Johnson should have got more than 8 carries. He was fresh and at 100%. He averaged 4.5 per carry.

Fighting for extra yards would've helped on that 4th down conversion fail as well as a few plays before when Tate went down shy of the 1st down. The running game was mishandled by the coaches. As usual.
