How in the world did Orton fall to the 29th pick I thought OKC gave him the ok that they were going to draft him!
He denied receiving a draft promise from OKC. http://newsok.com/daniel-orton-deni...se-from-oklahoma-city-thunder/article/3469176
Below avg production in college, tried to sabotage his own teammate (Cousins) in an interview, on that border of funny/whacky/Ron Ron crazy and more than any thing he blew off a lot of teams leading up to the draft because he thought he had a promise from OKC.
Ok well not exactly "sabotage", but during an interview he gave the indication that Cousins had an attitude problem, "can get out of hand at times" etc. When your team mates biggest knock is that he is immature those arn't the type of things you relay to the media a few days before the draft. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5p7jzcAIehE&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5p7jzcAIehE&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Yeah i agree, definetly a low comment.. i don't think that much of Orton, he looks a bit slow and his numbers were not that great.
Didn't the Rockets bring him in along with Whiteside and they both got schooled by Hilton Armstrong right? That should be all you need to know.
