How did multiple sources know that Howard's number 1 team on his list is Rockets?

    We did read the sources from CBS Sportsline, Espn, Hoopsworld and other media about the Dwight Howard joining the Rockets. But how did they know? Did Howard told the media that he wanted to play here? Or the media just predicted he will be playing in Houston next season? I want to know because its so uncertain right now even with multiple sources. One source indicated Rockets received "hopeful signs" but what does that mean?

    He might be interested to play with James Harden, Chandler Parsons, and rest of the team and I hope that's true. :)

    Dan Fegan released the info to multiple sources to use HOU as leverage to get D'Antoni fired.

    I think a lot of it is tied to Stephen A. Smith's prediction that its "50/50" whether he goes to Houston or stays with the Lakers. Smith is pretty wired into the NBA and LA in particular and as you might recall correctly predicted Lebron in Miami in 2010.

    Doesn't mean he's right, but I assume a lot of the speculation is derived from this.
