not the perfect timing to post this tube, does't help those who aim to label Erdogan as the next Hitler
Liberal arts kids used to not understand computers until online journalism, no such incentive for engineers (like my dad) to learn history; in fact, they're the ones trying to reduce everyone else's student loans for not taking chemistry or calculus. My ilk, business undergrads, basically solve word problems and make Powerpoints between guest speakers and career fairs.
I mean I took AP US history in high school and that's pretty much the extent of my formal history learning besides taking a comparative politics class my freshmen year. As an engineering major, that's pretty much the extent of my formal social science studies. Any knowledge beyond that in terms of history and politics for me is informal(internet and reading on my own time).
A poor choice of words on my behalf then. I would replace "educated people" with "people throwing their incorrect assumptions on something easily searchable"
No harm done dude. You are still correct in the sense that Hitler's rise to power is almost at the level of common knowledge or at the very least a wikipedia search away.
You didn't take Pre-AP World History the year before in high school? They taught everything in that class.
