Cap question. Did signing Parsons not take them all the way to the cap? The site I found says they used the "room MLE" on Jameer, but if they used cap space on Parsons you can't use any exceptions outside of the minimum player exception.

    What am I missing?

Harris was signed using cap space because Dirk accepted even less (they waived his bird rights), then room for jameer, then minimums.

No, the room MLE is explicitly for teams that used their cap space. Here's an explanation from one of Bima's cap updates from last season:

The Room Mid-Level Exception (or Room MLE) is a salary cap exception that allows teams that opted for the use of their cap space — and waived their rights to most other salary cap exceptions to do so — to have an additional means of adding players for more than the veteran’s minimum salary.

I thought you had to be operating over the cap to use it. If they used capspace that't operating under the cap. Or is the room MLE a different thing than the MLE we used on Papanikolaou?
