That's becuase half of the people with higher post counts got that way by posting "me too" or "free post" messages. Why should one respect that? The respect I give a poster is based only on what I think of the post, not the post count. ------------------

Yeah, I realized that after his second post but I had already submitted it before his 2nd hit the board. That and the whole "free post" thing is really a pet peeve of mine. I don't think we should even display post counts becuase too many people think quantity becomes more important than quality. So it hit a bit of a nerve. ------------------
I hear ya. But on most Internet BBS's when a thread gets filled with "free posts" or "I made it before the LOCK!" posts, it means it was a worthless post. I don't think too many people outside of Francis3 give a flip about their post counts. Most of the people that mention it, do it for fun. Take for instance the fact that I have way more posts than you do. As far as post counts go, I've made mention of only two of mine...1000 and 2000. These, to me, are a testament of my love and enjoyment of this site more than a show of "look how many I have". I've only done a "freepost" thing maybe a dozen times. I got my posts the old fashion way: fantasy leagues and trivia contests! BTW, Trivia III is scheduled for mid May.
