I just noticed, we're 12-3 at home, 9-9 on the road... this is incredible, we've turned into one of the best home teams in the league now? I remember in most of the previous seasons, it was reversed, and we were a great road team and a terrible home team... what does this mean? Maybe the players are finally getting used to TC? Maybe it's the support of the Rowdies? Also, perhaps it was the veteran toughness factor we're lacking that explains our poor away record? I remember guys like Sura, Jon Barry, Wesley etc were crucial for winning tough away games...
lets replace all the corporate bastards in the lower bowl with clutchfans member. that guy krosfyah should talk to the rockets about it. ahahahaha
Perhaps you're new the to NBA, but .500 on the road is pretty damn good. Anything over that is gravy.
Perhaps you aren't aware that what separates a good team from an elite team is the ability to win on the road, ala Detroit, San Antonio, Dallas and Phoenix? Poor is probably too strong a word for it, but as I said previously it confounds me that we used to suck at home, and seemed to play better on the road... what's changed this season?
Right. Forget about Tmac and Yao. It's the Rowdies factor. Jeff should be giving away fares for road games to the rowdies as well to win more games.
The Rocks will be better than .500 on the road as the season continues and we get our real compliment of players back (Kirk, Bonzi and Yao) and you likely see a 25 win team on the road and I think that is possible with this team. This is a 55 win team if they can keep playing at this level.
This is my favorite thread of the year. Last night a guy with the Chronicle was sitting with us. I briefly talked to him and he recalled a conversation he had with JVG. He said JVG puts on this public mask to make himself look mean or whatever but he'll really just a goof and that he said he loved our chants and thinks it is funny as crap. Last night after the game, they did a postgame of TMac so we all ran down next to the court chanting TMAC TMAC. We got a big smile and he pointed over to us. Words just can't express how much fun it is to be a Rowdy. I know I'll always look back on this as one of the best times. Thanks for the support ...and we'll keep it up!!!!!
with such a tough road schedule in the first 2 months, it was do or die at home. if we didn't take care of our home games then we wouldn't be looking at the playoffs right now. i tihnk it's partly the rowdies, partly the vets and partly having at least one superstar to carry us.
