I don't want him for the max or anything close to that, but I'd take him for Drew and a couple of bucks of our exception (not too many). Seriously, who wants this guy? He has said straight out that he doesn't want to play for the Clips (maybe he'll change his mind). Chicago is the only team that has the money to get him now, and they have way too many PF's. How much is Taylor going to get? Do you want him and for what price?

I rather have Antoine "Da CAncer" Walker.
Mo Taylor is just a ball hog who cant or wont rebound.

Mo Taylor is the type of player that has bad effects on the rest of your team. He is extremely lazy, does not put any effort into rebounding, is slow running the floor, and only does one thing well - score. Even if the Rockets can get him for cheap, I would be concerned that his bad habits would feed off onto Cato and other players on this team which would be terrible. People were ragging on Cato last yr, wait till you get a full dose of Mo Taylor. All the Clippers fans I have talked to are sick of him and want him out of there.

If Mo came to town, Moochie would have to play the 5 so we could have a rebounding force on the frontcourt.

I am sorry, but until Cato proves he can rebound, no weak rebounding PFs.

Mo taylor is a guy who will have bad effects on your team.

The reason why his reputation around the league is so bad is because he plays for the clippers. He has wanted to get out of there since draft day. I think he will bring a lot to the Rockets, maybe not a contribution toward Rudy trying to build a white all-star team, but he will fill the lanes and run on our fast breaks unlike Cato and Dream. Remeber how the Rockets were willing to trade up a lot for Swift? Well, Mo Taylor is a better player then Swift and is still only 23 (3 yrs older then Swift). He brings a lot to the table and could possibly be out PF for yrs to come. Unless you want Cato to stop Kemp, Sheed, Etc, i think we should get Mo Taylor.

Right! You'd think he'd have at least busted his Clipper ass to make it look like he deserved the pay day he is looking for. I'm beginning to think the guy really is soft and can't play physical and really can't rebound.

I wouldn't mind picking him up for the 2.25 exception and sit him on the bench at the beginning of games, while Pig Miller makes the minimum and starts at the 4. [IMG]

If we could sign and trade Walt and Kenny Thomas for him, even that'd be ok, and then waive Mo Taylor. It'd just be so perfect, Walt and Thomas have to play for the Clippers, and Mo Taylor doesn't have a job.

Mo Taylor may be just a LITTLE bit better than Stromile Swift right now, but the only reason for that is becuz he's been in the league longer and is older/more experienced. Swift is a much better defender, a much better athelte, and a much better rebounder. The only edge that Taylor has on Swift is his offense.

And also, I dont think that Mo Taylor will be able to stop Shawn Kemp, Sheed, etc. Mo Taylor is not a good defender... the only way that he'll be able to stop the other elite pfs is by canceling them out with his own scoring.

Mo Taylor, as MManal pointed out, is lazy and cant run the floor. Cato is a pretty good floor runner too, and he'll be even better next year.

Yeah I agree with you there Super. Everyone says he's a poor rebounder/defender ETC. and that is all true. But MAYBE, just maybe, the only reason for all this is that he's playing for the clippers. Why would he have any motivation to do all the dirty work when he hates the team he's playing for? that said, if he's on another team(like the Rockets?), he might increase himself to become an average rebounder and defender. And that wouldnt be too bad considering that he's got so much offense.

I also heard that Mo Taylor realizes that he will not get the max, so I think maybe he changed his mind and will demand a little bit less. If we could get him, it would be coo. But only if Rudy gets him to start rebounding and defending and workin hard... otherwise I say no to mo.

Since Taylor and his agent knew that he would be a free agent this summer, why didn't he turn it on and tear up the league?

If he would have shown that he could average 10 boards a game, show some solid defense, he would be in the money this summer as a Free Agent. Either he didn't think about that or is unable to do the things listed above. Sure hope Rudy doesn't go to any trouble getting Taylor.
