A young PG, or the rights to one would be my hope.

I think we're looking to trade him, but I wouldn't get my hopes up in getting a very good, rotation player in return.

I feel comfortable with Head as a third-string option at guard. If one of our PGs or Brent Barry gets injured, he's someone who's familiar with the offense and defense that we can stick in there. And he happens to be a very, very good shooter. I'm ok with that. It's not like he's killing the team, sitting and cheering on the bench. He's a good kid.

My guess is he continues to ride the pine until just before trade deadline. Then he's packaged with Stevie for a decent player - probably to a team that had high expectations for the season but has tanked and needs to rebuild/reload. Either way, it'll be a while...

Funny how Luther is the worst player in the NBA according to some people and yet in trade scenarios, he can fetch a good young PG. Classic message board mentality. :D

No, I don't have any illusions of that, I was speaking of getting the rights to one playing overseas that may be controlled by another NBA team.

Or, perhaps another team's 3rd string PG, that hopefully would be young....

Someone like perhaps a Sergio Rodriguez in Portland...where they have Blake and Bayless...and Rodgriguez.....getting either Blake or Rodriguez would be awesome.....but probably not realistic.

    :D

Get Brandon Rush. He could be a great backup SG.

Sean Williams will be superb for us if we can get him for any of these three guys(Francis,Head,Vafer). He's athletic as hell, got size and thats what we need right now.

Actually I make no bones about the fact that I think he would have been perfect for this team with his attack the basket mentality...I think his turnover problem would have gone down a bit as he got more experience.

And for the record, no one owns his rights, if he wanted to come back to the NBA, he would be a complete Free Agent.

I would love to have him back, but the reality is that is not going to happen....so, I just want to trade our tradeable assets to upgrade a weakness...and right now...Rafer Alston is by far the weakest link.

People, please stop this waive Head suggestions. It makes no sense. No sane GM would waive a player under guaranteed contract without substantial reasons. And there is no reason to get rid of him for nothing.

I know...if that were the case the Rockets would have waived Francis and Head and kept Strawberry and Harris.

Guaranteed contracts are a commodity....and Head and Francis have expiring contracts, Morey might be able to pick up someone around the MLE level at the trading deadline by just holding onto two expirings like that.

Look what BJax expiring netted us this summer.

Luther Head for Sean Williams of the Nets.

Williams and the Nets are NOT eye to eye. Even though Thorn picked up Williams' options, Williams was not happy about that.

Sean Williams is a young Mutombo. He's not as great as Mutombo is defensively, but he is good. His athleticism is off the charts, and he can finish strong at the basket.

Luther Head for Sean Williams would be perfect for the Rockets.

The Nets are always looking for shooters

Many teams should be interested in Head. IF you get my drift, it's SEXUAL! LOL!
